  1. The commitment is good, i may not be so fresh though.
  2. Finaly, Dave will be able to get the terry dirty again. went to get a wheel alignment done this morning, and they couldnt get the tie rods of, they sprayed heaps of stuff on them, and heated them up, but they wouldnt budge, not even with big stilsons. they reckon the alignment isnt too bad, so it should be ok. even though they spent an hour and a half on it, they didnt charge me. put my old tyres onto Daves old rims, they only just stick out of the guards now. went to visit the suspension man, he had a look in his little book, and reckons an adjustable panhard rod off a gq patrol will fit, they can extend from 890mm to 1100mm, only thing that might be different is the bushes, which are easy enough to replace with ones that fit. panhard rod is $270, and fitting and adjusting would add up to $400 max. i reckon i will wait till i find a second hand one, and fit it up myself. ordered some front sway bar rubbers, should pick them up this arvo. the old ones are realy bad, the rubers arent even sitting on anything. i reckon i will show up tomorow, if im not still drunk.
  3. I only noticed it when i put Daves old wheels on, because the tyres are wider, and the offset is bigger, so they stick out more. the wheels i had on before sat well inside the gaurds, so i never noticed. maybe Dave is a dodgy wheel seller haha.
  4. My panhard is 1005mm, got under there tonight and had a good look around. nothing seems bent or out of place, all the rubbers in the back seem ok, nothing is loose or has any play in it. the panhard is slightly higher than the line of the diff, but not as great an angle as seen in daves pic, so i dont see it causing the problem. im thinking maybe the mounts or the chassis maybe bent. maybe this suspension bloke will notice something i didnt. tried to wind my torsion bars up a bit more, but i run out of adjustment, so im gonna have to slip them out and re index them. is it hard? looks pretty simple. i was spewing, all i wanted was another 10mm, to level the front with the back.
  5. I hate that yours is still lifted more than mine. my panhard doesnt even sit as high as yours, so i dont understand why it would pull my diff out of line, maybe i stuffed something up, or there is a problem somewhere else.
  6. the lift was only 2 inches. my panhard sits pretty much parallel with the diff, would be interested to know how it sits on all your rigs. i should be taking the bigger wheels and tyres off, and putting my old ones back on, cause it drives like a pig, but it looks heaps better, and a bit bigger, and its fun sliding around corners. Dave absolutely got his moneys worth out of those tyres. hey Dave, did you manage to pull that intercooler apart and swap the ends over?
  7. So after installing my lift last week, my rear diff is out of alignment. didnt notice it till i got Dave"s old wheels, that have a bigger offset, and bigger 31x10.5 tyres. the tyres stick out of the front guards about 1.5 inches, and about 1.5 on the passenger rear, and 3 inches on the drivers rear. i knew something wasnt right when i had my 30x 9.5 tyres on, but the bigger tyres made it feel like the biggest bag of crap. after alot of searching, seems there is no adjustable panhard available for the terrano / pathys. spoke to a bloke today, who reckons he will check to see that the panhard is the problem, and if it is, he will measure it up, and see whats available from another vehicle, and if the bushes are different, he can make something to suit. find out friday. so im going to put my 30x9.5 inch tyres on the new rims, get an alignment, and hope the suspension guy can sort something out for the rear. looks heaps beeter with bigger tyres, even though there bald, cant wait to get some 31's with chunky tread, eventualy. might pop up on saturday and say gday, and make a nuisance of myself.
  8. I bet you are REALY glad its not a steel bar now.
  9. yeah, c'mon, wheres the pics? im excited.
  10. yeah, its good that she loves to get out "bushing" as she calls it, especially when mud gets in her window and goes all over here. but she can be a PITA when i stop and get out, and she wants to get out too, but i wont let her. kids running around big cars isnt a good idea.
  11. cheers for the invite, i did plan to make an apperance saturday, but i have to work all day, and i cant get out of it. its starting to give me the sh*ts, i either work a sat or a sunday, and when i dont, i have the kid, which gives me stuff all time to do what i want.
  12. that seems to have worked, might try another. do u have to do it through photo bucket or similar, or can u just add an attachment?
