  1. Sold. i will get them out of the cupboard tonight, and makes sure there for the front. and then work out how to get them too you.
  2. Anyone need some new brake pads? i think there for the front. they came with my car. not sure of the brand, but if someone needs them, they can have them.
  3. hey guys, have any of you taken of your rear discs? i tried to get mine of today, to see if i could get the hanbrake working. took off the caliper, gave the gave the disc a good tap with a rubber hammer, and it should just slide off, if its like all the others i have done on other cars, but the bugger wouldnt budge. have i missed something? got some rubber flares for the back, and screwed them on, in aticipation of the new tyres, hope they turn up before i go away.
  4. Im excited, i just ordered a set of 31 inch mud tyres. maxxis buckshots. i wasnt going to ever get such an aggresive tyre, but after seeing how good muddys looked on Matt's beast, i just couldnt help myself. hopefully should get them on by friday, which means i will have to sort some flairs out this week. 4 tyres for $800, cant complain too much.
  5. all the girls i know, that are dirty, are like the one in my avatar
  6. you dont want me to supply a girl, all the ones i know, are NASTY!!!!
  7. getting something special for your birthday Matt? bring her along, maybe we can take photo's ok, i will behave now, before i get
  8. Or we could dump him off at some nice spot somewhere, with a bbq and a heap of food, and when we have finished a wicked bunch of trails, we can park up for a while, and a massive feast will have been prepared for us. haha
  9. instead of waiting for Matt to get his beast on the road, what do u guys reckon if we just organise a run, and Matt can be co-pilot for one of us for the day? (and give foot rubs etc)
  10. the diffs would be longer, can get them shortened, or just leave them and get bigger flares put on. the possibilitys are endless. best bet would be to get a gq chassis, and a stuffed terrano body, get it all set up good, then turf the stuffed body, and put your good one on when everything else is finished and sorted out. i want one.
  11. oh, and of course the wheel base is longer, but it would be easy enough to cut a section out of the chassis to shorten it. then you could go crazy on the patrol bits, and build it up to be a tough bit of gear. all the hardcore patrol bits would never break under the lightweight, low powered terrano. and u could almost convince the guys at the pits, that it came out factory.
  12. gq cant be too much different, my fuel tank is from a gq, and it bolts straight in. most likely its just the body is wider, as well as the diffs etc, that way there would still be room to fit the bigger tyres they have, without them rubbing on the chassis. rear panhard rod is a bolt on as well, so it cant be to far off. how cool would a terrano be on a gq chassis, solid axle front and rear. it would be nuts.
  13. that will work out good matt, you can be the entertainment, as well as the firewood collecter, while the rest of us get drunk lol.
  14. as long as theres beers in the fridge, who cares if we get lost.
  15. Just got off the phone to the DEC. those tracks are part of john forrest national park, and are a no go zone. lucky those pics are from somewhere else, taken ages ago. Bugger.
  16. And a couple more The new lift i put in made a big difference, heaps more clearance, and the wider offset wheels made the car feel alot more stable. I had a good day.
  17. I was lucky enough to get out and go for a drive this arvo, so i picked up the girlfriend, and went exploring. i was keen to follow a track i had driven past a few times, up at red hill, along toodyay rd. theres no gates or fences, no signs to say you cant go in there, so i went for a look. i dont know if your allowed to or not, the only thing around there is a big quarry. i will have to find out. we had a ball, there is tracks everywhere through there, most of it is slow going, the tracks i followed were mostly first and second gear, low range. its mostly up and down hills, rocky, and rutted out, with a bit of mud around to mix it up. had a good afternoon testing out the rancho's, which were a big improvment on what i had before. couldnt explore too much, it was late arvo, and i didnt fancy trying to find my way out in the dark. but i did see quite a few sections that would be very challenging, but i didnt attempt them, i didnt want to get stuck without any help around. i had the missus out taking picks, im spewing, cause at one section, i had the suspension screwed up into a ball, and she reckons she was in shock, she thought something was brocken because all the wheels were sticking out in all different directions, so much in shock, she didnt take a pic, but reckons it was the most amazing thing she has seen. i should of left her out there!!!!!!!! So i reckon we should all get out there, make a day of it, and have some fun, when we are all back on the road that is. pics are on the way, just waiting for photobucket to upload them.
  18. im interested in the antenna for the radio, if its not broken like mine.
  19. we just went for a spin around near the back of the airport. heap of undeveloped land between the airport and abernathy rd. mostly sand, and alot of water sitting on top. the kiddy loves it when the water sprays in the windows, and kept daring me to go into the deeper holes. little freak.
  20. sounds like you have had a good day, better than mine, i spent it at work all day. but i did just get back from taking my little girl for a spin out bush, and managed to get the terry covered in mud.
  21. yeah, that pics a bit nasty. i was looking for a good avatar to put up there, i found a much more interesting one, but it wouldnt work for some reason, so i tried that one and it worked.
  22. yeah, bout ten minutes straight up roe highway, or about 8 minutes if i go the back way.
  23. Matt, you are a machine, do u ever stop? did my rear diff oil, got rid of the old stuff thats was as black and runny as i had ever seen oil, and filled it up with 2.5 litres or so of castrol's finest. replaced all the front sway bar rubbers, which were half missing. the old girl almost drives like new again. Dave, let me know how you sort out the intercooler, im interested in how you set it up.
  24. Very nice, welcome to the luxury and prestige of terrano ownership. no more using the key to open the fuel cap. haha
