  1. 20ft towrope, come-along, crap ton of matches, rags, tools, small gas can, two military style gas cans (soon to be mounted up), couple quarts of oil, and if things get ugly... two feet. still don't have a jack, a whole lotta good the full size spare will do me if I blow a tire.
  2. Ummmm why are only the insides of your tires studded? It seems kinda odd cause up hea' in the North east it's inside and out.
  3. What negatives? Noise doesn't bother me, I wish my tires where louder . The only real negatives I can think of is breakage, and maybe some tire wear, but since it frees up in corners I wouldn't think it'd be that substantial.
  4. I've tried the search and advance search options, I guess I'm search challenged, I just wanna know about reliability. I don't want to be in the back woods of VT or on a weekend excursion and have crap falling apart on me cause I made a dumb decision. My pathy's body already is crumbling so I'm aiming for mechanically sound
  5. Two things actually, how do I go about finding out which rear end I have (88 xe) and is anyone running AC's lock right locker. I realize that it's pretty cheap so I'm questioning it's reliability, noise in the corners doesn't really bother me though.
  6. I have a pretty sweet exhaust leak under my gas foot, found out exactly where it was the other day when my boot melted to my floor. Good times. On the up side my foot stays off the go pedal, and I get sweet free high from the melting plastic and exhaust fumes!!
  7. Oh yeah, tear out all the crappy interior rug and tar, throw down some rhino liner, water proof the comp.... spray with the hose as needed.
  8. I say, no doors, tube bumpers a couple of driving lights, leave off the fenders, throw on those tires, find a frickin' sticky mud hole and have some fun! I love the way it looks w/o doors it's all, hey I don't care what you think about my rig, i'm out to have some fun!!
  9. Yes, but your road cornering is gonna be equal to a pile of jell-o. (I'm putting mine back till I get a lift.) Also My 31x10.5x15's rub pretty bad and am starting to tear into the front one's. But all in all you will get more flex.
  10. Keeping it basic, Diesel swap w/ supercharger (dirt and turbo's make me nervous) intercooled, w/ cryo treated gears. Ahhh hell throw some propane injection in there too. Some skid plates, suspension, and lets go find a mud hole. (yeah the list could go on and on, but no frankenissans.)
  11. Ahhh silicone, my favorite thing next to duct tape sly
  12. Figured as much, almost drowned the pathy today and figured I'd give it a thought. OH, and FYI if you ask your co-pilot which hole is deeper, and he says... I dunno the left one. Get a stick and check, or just go around till you know.
  13. I've noticed some peeps have some snorkels on their rigs, but can't seem to find any. Can anyone help me out w/ a link? I'd prefer not to have to redneck engineer it, but if needed, ductape has always been a good thing.
  14. The stock tail lights, and the mirrors are begging to be tree ornaments, they stick out wider then the body. The mirrors are gonna anyway, but they stick farther out then I deem really nessecary. If someone said here's the keys, go break it, I'd be more then willing to though.
