  1. What's a revers racing "@!*%er"?
  2. Okay. I already bought the belt so I guess I'll do it on the next good day. Any tips you guys have? Oh, sorry for stealing the thread by the way. Thanks, Dan
  3. How would one know if this has been done to their vehicle? Is it an aftermarket part or is it Nissan? The person That I bought my Finder from had theirs changed every 100k and it runs great. I'm at 260k now and am worried about changing it. Should I be or do I have more time? It's a 91 VG30e. I'm the 2nd owner. Thanks, Dan
  4. Yes, you do need the drive shaft. I switched from auto to manual. stole from donor the clutch master cylinder, clutch lines, flywheel and clutch assy, trans of course, shifter, floor plate and drive shaft. I spliced the wiring harness from the trans and everythings good. I had a little problem with my fuel system but that's all fixed now. Of course, my Pathy is only 2 wheel drive, so somethings were a little easier than yours might be but if you have any questions, just let me know. I know others on this forum have done this same swap. Dan
  5. Another option would be to swap in a manual transmission. They are more reliable and you would have more control over the powerband. Dan
  6. All I changed was the transmission with the clutch assembly with the flywheel on the engine(they are different), the clutch pedal assembly with all the lines, the wiring harness that goes to the transmission from the engine compartment( it's like 4 wires if i remember correctly), and I believe the speedometer cable is different( I haven't gotten that far yet but I can't get it in the trans). I don't know what problems you'll run into changing a manual to an auto. I believe you will have to change your ECUs. Let us know how it goes. Dan
  7. Yeah, guess what guys. I had the fuel lines crossed. I switched them and it started right up. I feel like such an idiot. It runs a little rough though. It's been sitting for a year and a half. These things are tough. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. I got in it and drove it up and down my street. I can't wait to tune it up and get it back on the road full time( and off the road for that matter). SWEET. Dan PS. Thanks again for all your help.
  8. The fuel pump does pump. I put some gas in a spray bottle and sprayed it into the intake and it ran so long as I was spraying. If the problem is something as stupid as me crossing the fuel lines, I'm gonna kick my own a$$. I'll check this tonight. As for changing the ECM with the trans, I heard it was only necassary when you went from standard to auto. I really appreciate all the feedback from you guys. It's great to know that there are people out there you can count on these days. Dan
  9. Hey guys. I'm new here and I sure hope somebody can help me. I just changed my auto trans pathy to a standard. When I did it, I pulled the engine and trans out of the vehicle. Now that I have every thing back in the truck, it won't start. I can get it to turn over and if I spray fuel in the intake it will start and sputter as long as I'm spraying. It's like the injectors are not spraying. I'm pretty sure that I've hooked everything back up. I was very cautious when I disconected the wiring. I friend of mine said something about "resetting" the computer. Is this something that needs to be done, and if so, how? Thanks Guys, Dan
