  1. Okay, well my truck has had a rear main oil seal leak for about five months now and I figure it is time to fix it. I was wondering if I should go with just repairing the rear main oil seal and headers (yes they have a leak) for about $2000 or do I go to get my engine rebuilt and throw the headers on at the same time? I have not gone to look at how much the rebuild would cost yet but I am guessing about $2800 or more. I am rolling onto 320,000km so I want to know what your opinions are for this matter. Thanks in advance.
  2. No worries, I am just trying to save up to put new headers in and fix my rear main oil seal leak, I am hoping to get it done sometime in Feb. so she'll be ready for March.
  3. Yeah, I think the most damage this trip was a little tailpipe bending, now it is oval not round... unless you count egos but I am sure those are fine.
  4. I would love to upload my pictures... just no camera uploading allowed on campus but I should be home after this lecture... hopefully in two hours or less my images will be uploaded. EDIT: Photos Uploaded Here
  5. See you at the PC then chap... we will be having a couple novice drivers with us, so I am sure we can work out everything at 0930. I'll hopefully be early, airing down, fueled and oiled up and ready to rock and hopefully not roll.
  6. Okay all who are intrested meet at Johnson Hill Petro Canada at 0930 on Sunday January 6th 2008. To get to the meeting location you take Johnson Street in Coquitlam until you see the Petro Canada. Any questions feel free to PM me, hope to see you all there on Sunday. EDIT: We will be going to Eagle Mountain since Inch Creek sounds pretty snowed in...
  7. Inch creek is just past Mission, it is how you get to the fish hatchery. Inch Creek Information
  8. So either Eagle Mountain or Inch Creek aka Norrish? anyone want to suggest a run?
  9. Wow, I better check mine out, since I work with gas and other petroluem products all day, I thought it was just me smelling and not comming from the truck. Thanks for this little update/post.
  10. Hello all those who are interested, I am mentioned that in the new year we need to do a little run, so how does Sunday Jan. 6th 2008 potentially sound? I am debating on which trails depending on each persons rig and experience. If you want to suggest one feel free to also feel free to invite other people along to join. I will keep you posted, etc. on this page, hope to see you all then.
  11. Hmm maybe I will go up on Sunday to Stave, I know Shawne's baby is still missing a shock and maybe he can hitch a ride with me up. I'd say we all meet in the new year, for a little NPORA run. Any ideas?
  12. I am in the Ridge, maybe we shall all muster together on Dec.15th or 22nd? I drive a stock Pathy also. Edit: Maybe Eagle Ridge or Inch Creek? If you are intrested keep me informed, just getting ready for my workolidays.
  13. I guess I can't make it out this weekend, I'm doing a little run on Sunday for my photos. I'll be up at Stave next weekend for some mudding action if anyone is intrested
  14. Sounds good for the 16th, if you set up a meeting time and place we can meet. I need a self-portrait for my photography class so somehow I need to include my Pathy (offroading of course).
  15. Trip was some what sucessful, I figure we got about 1/2 way or more up the mountain before Porter's truck was really getting bogged down on the large rocks with his street tires. We impressed majority of the others on the trail by saying we are running stock Pathfinders in which we are except my tires aren't really streets as Porter's are. No real damage just my power steering pump blew a gasket at work on Monday. We also both have some minior body damage from the large rocks, etc but hey that is what offroading is for. Oh and Porter decided to let the trail help remove his running boards
  16. Alrighty so my power steering pump died on me today and shot the fluid everywhere as I rolled into the work parking lot. So I've ordered a new one for $195 and which came in today (god bless work and them claiming it was an emergency part) and I plan on installing and then checking out and rebuilding my old one since we rebuild gas pumping units I figure this would be similar except on a smaller scale and hope to tell you of my endeavors. EDIT: Well I did it today after work and replaced it with the rebuilt pump. I've taken a quick look at it and just appears I blew the gasket so I'm praying that is all and going to rebuild it and keep it in my stock just in case... no problems replacing it just a few bolts and removing the tension from the belt, etc.
  17. No luck on the clock light I just gave up on the clock because it would make sure I came home on time and kept me from wheeling away. Yeah for sure about offroading you should of come out today we did Eagle Mt. got some nice body damage on my lower passenger rear bumper area and driver side lower door but other then that it was awsome. If you keep an eye on the Western Canada section I usually post the next trail run, etc. unless it is randomly after work.
  18. No problems, will keep you posted on the next run unless you plan one.
  19. Okay the details of the trip are as follows: Sunday August 19th meet at the Petro-Canada on Johnson street before we climb up to Eagle. I'm figuring around 1400 since it looks like I have to pick up my mother from the airport before we can hit the trails. Any questions PM me and I'll try to respond ASAP, see you there hopefully. Never been up to Sunrise lake maybe another trip in the future...
  20. Welcome to the boards, I'm from Maple Ridge. Feel free to join us on any little trail runs I post under the Western Canada section, next one is this Sunday.
  21. Eagle Mountain is just at the top of Johnson in Coquitlam. You are more then welcome to join in on the trip on the 19th of August.
  22. Sure Eagle Mountain sounds nice and local.
  23. Well I'm looking at doing another run on August 19th. So far no time or place just August 19th seems like a nice day hopefully. As with before any suggestions feel free to post them for a trip, etc.
  24. Alrighty after a day of playing with I think I might of fixed it. I checked all fuses, bulbs, and connection points with out opening up the entire truck (just mainly in the dash) and then re-connected the battery and it now turns on and off. I'm a bit skeptical on what I actually did to fix it so who knows and I will be watching it closely the next week or so. Edit: Just ran a self-diagnostics test on it and I got 10 flashes which means it is perfect and A-okay.
  25. I checked my fuses and none appear blown. It also doesn't appear when I floor it also.
