Found where rubbing noise was comming from !! The collar on the end of the drive shaft was rubbing the bell on the end of the trans. All it took to fix was putting the rear axle on jack stands. Putting path in nutral and turned drive shaft by hand till I heard it rubbing. All it took was a little tap from a hammer. NO MORE NOISE !!!!

Thanks, I work for the govmt so I have alot of time in my day to think up stuff like that. It works great I can take the pin out without getting under the pathy. The pin is for a hmmwv windsheild.

The disconnect I made. I took out the swivel bolt, had the cup filled with weld, and drilled a hole for the pin. Works great.

I made a set of quick disconnects for the rear sway bay. I noticed about 4 inches more travel with it off. I just don't know what to do to keep it from hanging down below the axle when disconnected.picture with sway bar disconnected

I just replaced the rotors in july. I thought it might be a warped rotor. It's getting worse and i'm starting to get looks from johnny law when I sqeal up to a stop sign. Not to mention the exhaust leaking. I need to do some major work to path before I end up donateing money to the township. Just need some nice weather.

I'm hoping its nice out tomorrow so I can look.I know it's not The dust sheild or a warped rotor. I just put on a new rotor that was my first guess so I put a new one on. Thanks for the help

ok this is driving me crazy. When ever i'm going down the road and lightly get on the brakes I get this noise coming from what sounds like the passenger front. It sounds like the pad warning strip hitting the rotor but I have taken the tire off checked the pads they are fine. I have torn down the whole axle looking for something rubbing but have not seen anything. Now its starting to do it when I let off the gas. Any ideas?

Just got done putting jgc springs on my path. I got about an inch and a half of lift out of them witch is enough for now. The back end set lower after cranking the front suspension up. So now she sits level. It took me about 45 min to do (since I read this forum about 20 times). Want to say thanks to 88 theres alot of great info and it saved me from lugging half my tool box to the salvage yard.

Just wondering if anybody knew where to get some good work done.

I found a place in MD called Green Ridge State Park. Don't have link for it, sorry. I do know they charge 15 bucks for a yearly pass. Not too bad I think.

Thats what i do . On longer trips i just put a bag of ice under my foot. I know it's getting hot from an exhaust leak. All the connections on it leak and are getting worse. My poor pathy is starting to sound really bad . I'm talkin trailor park bad (no offense to anyone living in a trailor park). I want to upgrade to headers soon . I just hope they pass smog test. I seen a set on 4x4parts.com for $225. I'll see if I can talk my fiance into letting me get them. Let you know how that goes.

My 95 is Champhane and a little rust collored. Would like to go olive drab green.

Whats up, My names Jason Myers. I have a 95 Pathfinder XE. I'm looking to add some goodies to her but am a little short on the cash flow right now (getting married). If anybody from the central PA area knows of a good fab shop let me know. Thanks

No limit huh? Then i'm getting rockwells, 49" Irocks, and a Cummins Turbo diesel! Hows that for gas milage!

Cash for a lift, lockers, new front and rear bumper, and a solid axle up front . I think I went over my spending limit. Oh well, the gov't does, why can't I .

Thanks for the help. I saw something today that got me a little pissed off. It was a WD21 headed for the salvage yard. The poor pathy was coming off of a dealership lot with some other "clunkers". One was a solid axle Toyota! I mean WTF. Why trash them when people like me would love to buy a spare vehicle for parts. I heard that they have to destroy the engine and drivetrain. Why the drivetrain? I don't know maybe it is for the better, But I bet you won't see any politicians giving up there rides anytime soon. Sorry, just had to get that off my chest.

One problem. I don't have a welder. I have fabbed one out of cardboad just to see how it would look. I just have to get it made.

I was wondering if anybody knew where to get plans to build a bumper or know where to get a complete bumper that I don't have to sell my pathfinder just to afford the bumper.(winch mount would be nice but not a must)
