Here's the scenario. I have 10 days of vacation to use up. I love the outdoors, mountains, camping, snow, everything...but I live in the burbs of Chicago lol...so the outdoorsy stuff is very under abundant. My goal, use my vacation time up roughing it. A week, to a week and a half of me, a friend or two, my truck, and nature. Essentially I just want to get driving, off into the wilderness. On some type of trail if possible, nothing to hairy because my truck is still not lifted or anything. Just get to see some scenery, camp out, where ever I stop for the night, and keep truckin in the morning. Anyone have any ideas? I'm hoping to do this late Nov. Early Dec, because by then I should be fairly healed up from my Knee surgery. Anyone in the midwest interested in meeting up and doing something? I really don't care where I go, just as long as it's out of the urban jungle.

Clean as in well done. Not gawdy.

Can you please explain. A doubler? Sorry, still kind of a truck noob.

I used to get mad at rich kids. Then I realized it's really just stupid and a waste of energy. It's not their fault their parents spoil em. As long as they aren't pricks (which I don't think OBX has been) then who cares. I'm working my butt off right now so that if and when I have kids they can be more spoiled than I ever could have imagined. It's what every parents want for their kids. And I have to say...super surprised to see such a clean pathy owned by an 18 year old. Kick ass.

You're getting T Morgan's Lift. Let me know how you like it. I'm very interested in it. Is he going to be selling them next month for sure?

1 or 2 strut spacers in the front? Sounds like the same exact route I'm going. Right down to the same style of rims, but on a black pathy. Looks good. Makes me itch to do mine more.
-
Is that just an AC 2" lift and 32's on your pathy in your sig? It looks great. sorry for the threadjack. I like the FJ's *ducks*

Wheel adapter spacers (backspacing/offset)
The Drift replied to MichiganAve's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Thanks for the feedback gents -
I have a stock 97 XE with flares. I have the stock wheels currently with 31x10.5 BFG A/T's. The only issue with any rubbing at all is at full lock I get a bit of the tread rubbing the inside lowest point of my fender wall. It just barely rubs, and poses no real risk other than some premature wear on the innermost treadblock. I'll be getting some new rims soon anyways though.

Wheel adapter spacers (backspacing/offset)
The Drift replied to MichiganAve's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
So as an example: The 15x8" American Racing Baja with 3 1/4" backspacing will have a front lip of about 4 3/4 inch, and a rear lip of 3 1/4" correct? So that essentially should push my wheels/tires out enough to eliminate the rub I get at full lock and aggressify (my own word) my trucks stance substantially? -

Ok I hate to admit it, but I am a bit unfamiliar with how backspacing works. I'm assuming my stock wheels have about zero backspacing (The chrome 6 spoke wheels common on the older R50's) If I have 3 and 3/4 in. backspacing will that mean my wheels will come out 3 and 3/4 in. more than they do now? Or is it like this 6 in. backspacing on a 15x7 = wheel lip 1 in from hub 3 and 3/4 in. backspacing on a 15x7 = wheel lip 3 1/4in from hub. Kinda like that? -
Considering I wheel with mostly jeeps, and have made some friends over at the Firewalkers (Midwest Jeep club) I think it will go over well.

It does include the evacuate and recharge.. I'm lazy. It's hot. I'm kissing $355 goodbye and saying hello to working A/C again!!!
-
Any of you ever replaced the A/C expansion valve? I got a quote of $355.85 on this work, but the part itself is on Autopartswarehouse.com for $56.00. Thinkin if that's the case I will do it my darnself!!

Having my buddy cut vinyl letters to go across my rear windo that say: "I get it...That's why I drive a pathfinder."
-
Mine is in the shop getting an estimate to get it fixed right now. Praying it's under $300 and doubting it lol. I'm dying without it though. Love winter, hate heat.

I need to go clean up, now. old Datsuns

Just need to drop a diesel in my pathy. That would be pimp.

Bio Diesel was at $3.00 by me yesterday. I payed $3.28 for regular, just to give you a perspective on the price variance there. It's funny how $3.00 sounds cheap now lol.
