  1. I recently had some starter issues similar to that. I ended up hitting the starter with a pressure washer getting all of the old oil and grime off of it. Now it works fine. Now if only the rest of the engine was fine. :sniff:
  2. OK, while cruising on the highway on Sunday, my timing belt broke. I have already replaced it, but when I started the truck up it was running really rough. After some testing, I found that I can remove all the odd numbered plug wires and it runs the same. If I try removing one of the even number plug wires, it won't even start. I figure I have some belt valves on the on the passenger side, but is it possible that I somehow miss timed that cam? I checked the all the timing marks, but is it possible I somehow still have it out of time where only one bank of cylinders is correct?
  3. I use it, but rarely. Most of the time it is front windows down, sunroof popped up, and rear vent windows open.
  4. Try to hook up with these guys: Berkshire 4 Wheelers. I have gone on 1 run with them so far to Coy Hill, and am setup to go to some private land that they have access to in Western MA this Sunday. They are mainly Jeep owners, but I got to prove to a group of them what a Pathfinder is capable of.
  5. People around me just refer to it as a truck. All of the people that know me know what it is, and the ones who have referred to it as a Heep know not to make that mistake every again.
  6. I just swapped in the 1990 Maxima 90 amp alternator. Only issue is swapping the pulley, which I forgot to take off my other pulley and ended up grinding the new pulley into a V.
  7. OK, so maybe it was just a factory option. Anyway, the point is it is a stock Nissan brush guard.
  8. Mine is 100% stock. It was a factory option that came with the SE I believe.
  9. The stock alternator on my 89 was 60 amps. I just upgraded to the '90 Maxima 90 amp alternator. Only an extra $10 and I just needed to swap pulleys.
  10. 196k miles and still pulling Jeeps, Xterras, Frontiers, and Tacomas out of the mud.
  11. My BFG A/T KO's have never let me down in mud, snow, or rocks. Mine have around 10k miles on them and are barely worn.
  12. I sent in my payment for membership and a decal last week, and am just curious when I should expect it.
  13. One thing I learned when I built up my Jetta was "Do it for yourself." It doesn't matter what other people think of it, they will respect that you built it the way you wanted it. If they don't respect you for you efforts, who need them. We modify our cars/trucks to fit our personal tastes. You should never modify it to please anyone but yourself.
  14. From your avatar, I would say you are in the NY area and I can believe $50 to fill up after ~250 miles. At $2.80/gal, having anything but a scooter sucks. I am just surprised that your '01 gets the same mileage as my '89 with 195k miles. You must really have a heavy foot.
  15. You won't notice the ram effect, even though the faster you go the more air pressure there will be. The big bonus will be blocking the hot air from being sucked into the filter.
  16. Hmmm, I really need 2 in yellow to go with my color scheme.
  17. Here is a shot of my Pathy with t-bar crank and 1" spring spacers tucking my BFG A/T 31x10.50's.
