  1. sweet intake...me likey. I want one now!
  2. Update...The issue was fixed, and the lights/horn work properly now, and of course I am happy, too
  3. ^^I'm interested to see if this works
  4. My 02 seems to do the same thing, and I live right off the interstate which makes it very evident to me. Seems to go away after a few minutes, that is, shift up into OD. My wife's Hyundai does the same exact thing tho. I'm puzzled!
  5. Actually yeah it is...not by Nissan (I have 49K now) but through Carmax who I bought the Pathy from...I took the comprehensive out to 98K or 2011. They're replacing everything for free. And the horn/lights do work now, because I'm driving around without a door sensor. They took the broken one out and will be putting the new one in on monday.
  6. The dome light on my '02 SE doesn't turn on anymore. Actually that's not true. It DOES turn on, when I'M DRIVING! It will fade in'out when it wants so I just leave it off all the time. So I took it to the shop and they diagnosed it as a bad button thingy on the inside of the doorjam. This was yesterday. They ordered a new sensor thing from Nissan and it's going to take 3 days to get it so I took the truck baack last night. The light is in the off position, but now my light/horn work when I lock the doors (keyless entry)!!!!!!!! They would flash/beep when they wanted to before and now that this button thing was fiddled with they work all the time. Any suggestions? Please discuss...
  7. Right. Seems Nissan wasn't too concerned w/ giving it a fitting name  Armada...well, that shoe fits the foot just fine. Pathfinder...no explanation necessary. Frontier...well, COULD KINDA see where that came from. XTerra...X-Games, etc. etc etc...goes along w/ the lifestyle I suppose! Maxima...not too sure Sentra...That's a lame one (I used to have one as well) Quest...it's a minivan, it set's out on many Quest's w/ the family in tow (it's a stretch) Stanza...unified group of lines in poetry? not sure how that fit's the car, looks more like a little "bluebird" to me
  8. I've only had my '02 for a month but put about 1500 miles on it and am consistently getting 15-16mpg. That's about 50/50 hwy/city. Not impressed with this pig's mileage but it's an SUV...whaddya expect? I sold my '02 Sentra for this so the fuel-shock is rather intense :o
  9. you said "posh"...lollers! I agree, Bluebird>Stanza. What the hell's a Stanza anyways?
  10. Geez that one on the right is sexy sly
  11. Thought it might be fun...Though I don't have any originals, I DID find some lucky devil on the internet who happened to have the same model/color/etc. It was a 1979 Volvo DL Wagon, my Mom's hand me down that she had for 18 years till she got, instead (ironically) a '97 QX4 (that's what got me hooked on Pathy's :-) ) Complete with a 4 spd manual, AM Radio w/ one speaker on top of the dash and 107 blazing hp. at the crank. Oh yeah, and a posi traction rear-end which worked WONDERS in the snow. Here she is though:
  12. I was gonna say it sounds like a vacuum leak, but if you replaced those hoses I don't know? 2 were cracked, are there only two to replace? Are you pumping the gas pedal when starting? It's a far fetched thought, but when I had my 2k2 Sentra and the ECU crapped out, it would put the car into "safe mode" and not let it rev past 2k RPM's...also the idling would do the same thing (up down up down, etc) But the most noticable problem was the smell of the exhaust, it WREAKED of gas. The problem was the car was running far too rich; an air/fuel ratio issue. Possible computer replacement??
  13. sounds to me like a shop saying it's better to replace pads/rotors/calipers/etc. etc. than just replace two pads and resurface the rotors...a money maker for them.
  14. Thanks for the find...I was thinking about doing this in mine as well. Didn't know you had to pull off the glovebox to do it :o
  15. Excellent find! Wish I didn't have dial-up so opening Adobe wouldn't take so long
  16. I know this doesn't have much to do with your issue, but the overhead light on my '02 keeps going out. The shop ordered me a whole new one finally...we'll see if that helps.
  17. Congrats on the X...have fun and be sure to post pics of a mudded up new truck Good job on the 6-spd. as well!
  18. Good looking Pathy! Welcome!! I too am very new and also originally from CT. Simsbury, just north of Hartford near Southwick Mass. Where are you??
  19. Careful with those X's...I used to work at a Nissan dealership (in sales...LOL!) and had a lot of friends in the service Dept. The new X's were seeming to come in there all too often for first year glitches (this was early 2005) Not sure about the '06's...do a little research, www.nissanhelp.com www.edmunds.com or even pick up the latest Consumer Reports.
  20. I sorta knew that was coming Anyhow, thanks for the welcomes, I am thouroughly impressed with the people as well as the content of this board!
  21. That's what I heard...was looking at an '03 SE w/o sunroof and decided on the '02. The VQ really is as sweet as everyone says it is!!
