  3. Hey guys as most of you know my truck is not going to be completed. I em looking for a pathfinder with the following... -Manual Transmission -Almost mint condition body/frame... -Anything but red interior works for me lol... and exterior.. -Power windows -Power locks Features id like to have... stuff i can deal with not having right away -Sunroof -Roof rack -Fender flares -Step bars -Tinted windows If you find anything please let me know...im in Montreal, Canada but em willing to drive a couple hours away to pick it up... LET ME KNOW please! thanks alot Jay P.S. I em looking for one... trust me im not being lazy guys... but im having troubles finding local ones so im exploring some options
  4. Well the final decision was made, my truck will not be completed... therefore I will be going to court with the landlord and the shop owner. :sniff:
  5. Some good news, friday I spoke with the landlord and the guys doing my truck and Tuesday we are all meeting to get a settlment working. If not im taking landlord to court... though the guys owed him money he has pulled a couple illegal moves... 1) Turned off their power which goes agaisnt== Revokes their right to work to live 2)Turned power off with out giving a 30 day eviction letter 3)By doing all this he is causing a customer to suffer... not allowing the completion of a project... that would be legal but since he did it in a jackass way and not with a 30 day eviction letter... ANyhow i hope it all works out tuesday.... i just want my truck back
  6. Grind down all rust to bare metal and surrounding areas( good to have an inch or 2 away from the rust for it usually has alreasy started spreading). Be sure to grind it down with a steel brush found at any local hardware store. Its just an attachement for a grinder -Clean the surface of all grease/dust -Buy a primer (personally I use http://www.zrcworldwide.com/) Id give it 2 coats of primer. ZRC might be expensive but it is the only primer that chemicaly bonds with metal... it is used to paint bridges etc.... and on my dads old car it kept rust away for 15 years... then he scrapped the car (with still no rust and we live in Quebec with bad winters and lots of road salt and humidity in the summer) -If its not completely smooth then you can use sandpaper dunked in water and sand it down and it will come completely smooth -Buy the paint for your truck using the paint code under your hood -Apply 2-3 layers -Buy a clear and apply 2-3 layers of that -Then buff it out
  7. I was just giving an example of that type of material.... i use a product called loose lock.,..
  8. Pics? Contact info anybody? Im very interested! Thanks alot Jay
  9. Hehe I just started with my truck its everyone on these forums that taught me stuff Anyhow as for the bolts its a bit harder to find in local hardware shops but I mean a local nissan shop sells em for 1$ a peice about... so its still not that bad. And for the bushings id just silicone em and use em again...
  10. One more day to find out whats going on with the project! Wish me luck everybody hehe
  11. Check the top post I edited it
  12. Hahah bud thats nothing! Trust me. Here this is what you can do to remove. Steps to remove Hardware: 1) Place some WD40 or loose nut on all of them and let it sit for 12-24 hours...longer the better -Remove hardware... if this does not work try step 2 2) -Use an Acetalyn/oxygen welding tank.... if you have -Place heat on the head of each bolt/screw untill it becomes red hot -Spray with WD40 or some sort of loose nut -Now try to remove the bolt -If the bolt comes out a bit then stops go back and forth with the wrench and it will slowly come out... if not re-heat and repeat methods untill it comes out. Steps to remove Rust: -Grind down all rust to bare metal and surrounding areas( good to have an inch or 2 away from the rust for it usually has alreasy started spreading). Be sure to grind it down with a steel brush found at any local hardware store. Its just an attachement for a grinder -Clean the surface of all grease/dust -Buy a primer (personally I use http://www.zrcworldwide.com/) Id give it 2 coats of primer. ZRC might be expensive but it is the only primer that chemicaly bonds with metal... it is used to paint bridges etc.... and on my dads old car it kept rust away for 15 years... then he scrapped the car (with still no rust and we live in Quebec with bad winters and lots of road salt and humidity in the summer) - I would then apply Gravel Guard, which is like a liquid tar. I beleive some call it bedliner but either way its a liquid tar that can be painted on top. It sprays out black. -After applying this I would then take some heat resistant paint and give it a coat or 2 just to make it look nice and smooth and more layers=more protection If this doesnt cover it then let me know! I got plenty of tricks and if you dont beleive me click My sig below and you will see the rust I dealt with hehe Thanks Jason P.S.
  13. Checked ontario... not really sure where to start to search..
  14. Ill be keeping an eye open. But im always open to some good finds!
  15. hey guys no you are all right it doesnt come with one... i went to see the truck... well the pic looks nice but what a peice of @!*%.... problems i noticed -Air conditiong... missing the compressor -Windshield cracked -Rust all over frame/rocker panels + some nice holes in frame -Rear windshield whiper didnt work... prob gear grinded down -Power steering leaking everywhere -Brakes are @!*% -Needs a very bad wheel alignment -Clutch is dead -Transmission sounds funny... I dont know who he is trying to fool but after my project and being on these forums I know alot about this truck haha Now im still not sure if my truck wil get finished or not bur some alternatives are to find another one to buy and repair it with the peices i have.. less repairing... etc I got 2 weeks coming up so im planning a road trip to the US somewhere north east... like NY, Vermont etc... to find a pathy so if any american members can point me to some nice pathys in that general area id be very happy! Thanks Jay

  19. Thanks guys! well i got over 10 guys to come see my truck and everyone has either denied it or asked over 7000$ to finish the job. The guy at the shop feels so guilty hes getting the power back friday and completing my truck. Now its not 100% cause i dont trust this guy but he can see how much this is hurting me and all the trouble i went through during this project, and he has kids so he understands... so maybe i grabbed him by the heart strings on this one!
  20. I will try my best guys... ill keep you posted
  21. Not sure no reply on that one... trying it.... Guys its not the fact to get my truck out... its that I need it. Im 18 attending trade school... and ive already sacraficed not having a car for 2 months now... causing alot of troubles getting around...my school is 3 hours away by bus or 15 min drive. 3 hours by bus does not allow me to make it home in time to work a part-time job... This is my only car and that was all my money pretty much... so as i said... im screwed :help:
  22. Man I dont know if youve seen my truck, but at this point nothing will make it operational to move it... its in peices... I dont even have wheel wells, no rad support, no floor, no gas lines, no brake lines etc... complete depression is this situation...
  23. Well its 90% official that this project has come to an end... he has no intentions of finishing the project... and the court thing is going to take awhile. Unless anyone is willing to come up here and help me put her back together... I pay gas and labour.... then im screwed :sniff: :sniff: :sniff:  :help:
