I live in Woodland Park but I am at college in Boulder and don't have my pathy

I like the way that there is a little door right above the fuel pump on the gas tank. Every other car that i have worked on i have had to drop the whole gas tank to get to that stupid thing. I also like the way that there is a little removable piece on the bottom of the fan shroud. It make the whole piece easy to remove. Another thing is the way that the rear window can be opened with the spare tire carrier closed. This is my first car and i am already in love with it, and very spoiled with it.

:cool2: Looks like I have some money to spend! It will be the first upgrade Pathy will have.

The back revolving seat and computers look like it is some kind of spaceship pilot seat or something.

On the summit racing site, what is the part number on those? i got this one DTE-464-2, and it says 94 to 95 but, it only says pickup, nothing about the pathfinder. This is likely to be a stupid question but are the pickup and pathfinder for those years the same? I just want to get tthe right one.

When you put them on, did you run into any problems attaching them to the rest to the stock exhaust? I am about to buy some Thorley headers and don't know it I can just buy them and put them on or if I have to replace everything all the way back. Thanks a lot. Like Casey.T said, nice job on doing it yourself

Dang! and to think i spent $70 on a factory manual . Very nice find.

Mine is black. It is currently black/brown with all the dirt on it though

I agree. The new fj40's are an insault to the old awesome ones. We had a old fj40 and that thing could go just about anywhere :cool2:. That new pathfinder is not very attractive, the big bubble thing on top looks like one of those things at an aquarium that you stick your head into and look at all the fish. I'll stick with my '94

well lets see.... Exhaust tick (of course) gash in pass. side door Hatch shocks not working when cold (easy fix, just lazy, I use my head and most likely look like an idiot ) rust spots on front bumper tapping mud flap at speed (i think) weather stripping bad, noisy on highway scheeching sound when wheel is fully turned and I hit a bump broken clip on clutch fluid container grinding sound at low RPM's and low speed and higher gear seatbelt retracting problem stubborn locks (only when cold) tire carrier very hard to move fuel injector bad (#6 in the back, figures) knock sensor bad I think this is it, but most is jsut little stuff thank goodness

:X Sorry, your right! I guess this is a lesson that I should pay more attention to what is said (well we found out how much i know about this subject )

Try cheching your fan clutch. My Pathfinder was making a very loud sound that changed with engine RPM and stayed on all the time. I opened the hood and tried to turn my fan and it was very very difficult. I replaced it and it no londer makes any noise at all. Hope this helps

I have a 1994 SE, 5-speed and it is doing the same thing. I got under the hood to try and see where it is comming from and is somwhere in the front. I just changed all my belts and it made no difference. Like Pathfinder-Jay said, I have no idea if it is hurting my engine, all I know is that it is really embarrassing. Mine, I don't know about others, used to only do it when it was cold, as if it was some kind of choke. Now it does it almost everytime I drive it. At first I thought it was the choke or something to do with the engine not getting enough air, but i checked everything and everything seemed to be ok. Now, I am about to check the fan clutch, like my dad suggested.

Where is the best place to get studs? If I go to the dealer, will they give me studs like the ones that I already have? I would like to get studs that I do not have to replace again.
-
Wow that is a lot of money for jsut the studs!! Doesn't the Thorleys come with all of the parts to install them? I am planning on getting all new studs anyway to put them on with. I am looking at a cat on the AC website, are those any good? I would like something that will make a bit more sound but not excessive.

I am just about to get some Thorley Headers and was wondering if there is anything else that I will need to get to do the project. Will I need to get a new down pipe and an Catalytic converter in order to have the bigger pipe all the way back? Or can I just get the headers and high flow muffler and everything will fit perfectly and get the same effect? I am already looking at a high flow muffler so that will not be a problem. I am planning to do the project myself so hopefully I won't break any studs.

I am looking at a set of the Thorley Headers and I am just worried about one thing. On their website I was looking at headers for a 1994 Pathfinder, which is mostly the same as the 1995 Pathfinder. It said in the description "No Lift Kit". Is this really true, can they really not be used with a lift kit, or are they just pulling my leg?

http://www.4x4parts.com/public_html/shop/i...4ef6b1ae7c13c0f This is the one that I found. I will be buying one soon, changing oil with it in its stock location is a pain in the butt. -
Thanks for the info! Sounds like I have a bit more research to do before I can make a decision and buy (and saving up a little bit more money ). Those rims are sweet looking. I think they would go with my car perfectly. With those rims however, what backspace measurment am I looking for? Anyway I am very excited to buy and install this stuff ( I love doing anything on my car). I will put pics up soon of what it looks like now and of course what it will look like after .

I currently have a black 1994 Pathfinder and love it. I have had it for a little over a year and it has served me very well. Now I am looking to upgrade it with a 3 inch lift and some chrome rims. What kind of lift would work the best with this kind of truck? I am looking at a Calmini lift and it looks very good. But before I buy anything, I would like to know what other companies offer lifts for this truck and what you all think. So, what is the best lift to go with ? Also, I would like to know where I can find chrome 5-spoke rims. any info would be appreciated.
