Best Original equipment Pathfinder
GreenEnvy94Pathy replied to GreenEnvy94Pathy's topic in General Forums
If you like this thread, read the SUV concepts under OFF TOPIC section. There are some very good points regarding the new Nissan products, and some heated debate -argue- , but I think the clear winner by a land slide is the WD21. -
Don't listen to Luker, he is always pissed off about something

No I am good as well. Take it to the dealer though... if they are any good they will take care of you. Nice to have another 05 owner.

Welcome, I have a 05 Pathfinder SE with Milani 22" wheels and Toyo Proxes 265-40-22s. You need to have some thick skin with a 05, most of the members here are "old school", and the only way they like the SUVs is with big tires, big lift, and lots of mud. Sometimes I wonder why they let me stay here... oh wait its because I have a "old school" 94 Pathfinder as well, so that makes me fit in. I have a split personality when it comes to Pathfinders, I LOOOOVVVVEEEEEE the new body style, but not for offroad as much, thats why the upgraded wheels, tires.... goin for the street look. The 94 is for the hills. Anyway, nice to have another 05 owner to help me beat up on the "old guys"!

Best Original equipment Pathfinder

Teen, there is a easy way to find out if you have LSD. Take your jack out, put it under the rear pumkin, jack it up, place the tranny in neutral, go to your back tires and spin one by hand... if the tire opposite of the one your moving goes in the same direction, you have a limited slip rear. If it moves in the opposite direction you have a open diff. -study- -

I will go for that!! -
I searched for a thread like this, and to no avail. I am really interested to see what everyone thinks is the best generation for factory off the showroom floor off road prowess. Please don't vote for your favorite year because it is the one you own, I would like to know best out of the box. I look forward to seeing the results pile up. -argue-

Will the Xterra people go wheeling
GreenEnvy94Pathy replied to Filthy Luker's topic in General Forums
I don't get the LOVE/HATE relationship between Xterras and Pathfinders. I currently own both, and the Xterra has things that I like better than the Pathfinder, but the Pathfinder has things that I like better than the Xterra... did that make sense?? Anyway we shouldn't hate on other Nissan owners, as both have AWESOME products. We should save the hatred for the Jeep/Toyota drivers of the world! -
Thanks for the info Casey, I will look into that. :help:

I have a 94 SE with ZERO rust. Here in Idaho they use sand when the roads get slick. I am really lucky though, the previous Pathfinder that I had a 95 SE came from New Jersey, and was really starting to rust, especially under the rear seats. It was starting to come through the underside. So one night when it was snowing I decided to trade it in on a Xterra SC, and the dealer didn't even bother looking for rust oh well!

My 94 is just a baby, 71k... and my 05 just turned 3k... that is just too low, I need to take a trip to SOCAL or something to put some miles on them

The wheels are American Racing "Ventura". They are a 15x8, and rub with 31x10.50's. I will be cranking the torsion bars and adding either air shocks in the back, or I have also been thinking about JGC springs, but the guys at Les Schwab didn't suggest it. Apparently Nissans have a horrible reputation for their front ends, and they strongly suggested against raising the torsion bars... but who cares, I will find out myself if that is true or not, anyone else have problems with raising the torsion bars and adding springs? Oh and the price for the wheels were $890.00 mounted and balanced. -thnkboutit-

Just bought some new wheels for the Pathy. In a few days I will crank the torsion bars for some added altidude, and add some air shocks for the rear. Pics to come, here are a few... sly

You actually have a pic of my Pathfinder, and I am willing to sell the SE wheels. What are you willing to pay for them? I will be upgrading to a custom wheel, and was actually going to trade them in at the tire store. They were going to give me $ 300. for wheels and tires. So beat their offer and they are yours.

What I was stating is that a full time locker such as Lock-rite is a much more economical choice that a part time/selectable locker such as ARB. I was pricing the Lock-rite full time locker, and purchase price is about $295.00 and for install I was quoted about 5 hrs of labor @ $55/ hour. I am not sure that this is even a good choice for $570.00 since I wheel maybe once a month??!!

Guys you are missing one important fact. The LE package only came with leather seating. It was an option on the SE, and not avail on XE. So unless someone went to alot of trouble turning an LE into XE  it was just a typo. Besides correct me if I am wrong but didnt the LE package come with chrome bumpers, rearview mirror, and grill? Also it has a outside tire carrier, and fender flairs, not avail on LE either. So easy fix it was just an error on the DMV's part. That would be crappy to try and sell it as a LE, but any potential buyer who knew anything about Pathfinders would be able to figure it out pretty quick.

It's even worse when you're in 4w lo (which should only be used on slippery surfaces, steep inclines and maximum traction for pulling out jeeps/dodge dakotas from the muck). HA! Thats awesome!! LMAO
