We don't have an autozone in BC. BUt I have to go buy a 27mm socket anyways
-
Do I really need a puller for my crank and does it actully have to come off to do the timing belt THanks Jamie
-
you could remove it by removing the two bracket bolts that mount it to the backing plate?? THen buy a new caliper that comes with the bracket (semiloaded). That's how I replaced mine hope it helps Jamie
-
yeah replaced them cause I had a sweet vibration between 80-110 kmh now it is when I am driving around town with the new ones.
-
I put in new u-joints last weekend. And after 700 kms of driving they are toast again. I am running the trailmaster 4 inch lift and the pinion angle looks decent. Anything else I should check?
-
Yeah I am a little pressed for time that's all. If I can just pull off the pump without changing or touching the tbelt that would be great. But if not I may be out of luck Thanks Jamie :furious:
-
I was just wondering how big of a job is it to change the water pump on my 91 pathy? Do I have to get into the timing belt and stuff? THanks Jamie
-
the eraser works awesome took off a whole set of factory graphics off of a 4 runner couldn't even tell they were on there

It's a small town I am gonna try tomorrow it's an m14 with the medium thread pitch 1.75? So it's hard to co me by

Anyone have a spare nut kicking around it's the one for the lower control arm that the torsion bar mount goes through. Also need the bolt too if possible Thanks Jamie ps I hope that virus gets fixed soon
-
nope running the same wheels and tires as before the lift and no stabilizer although there looks like there is bracket for one. I really think it's the alignment
-
Hey I put in my 4 inch trailmaster lift and got it aligened. It drives like @!*% now wanders all over can't let go of the steering wheel cause it will take off in any direction it feels like. I think the alignment is done wrong any other ideas? THanks Jamie
-
Ill have another look when I get it home it's getting a much needed alignment \ / lol
-
Well I had mine right for the lift I put in but couldn't get them out of the crossmember were the adjuster end is. So I had to remove that crossmember and install the front into their respective holes and then bolt in the crossmember and then finally tighten up the torsions
-
I like it when they put em on with an impact then go around with the torque wrench for good measure. WHen they are way over torqued with the impact gun
-
anyone else? I would rather try and take it out of the crossmember I don't see why it won't come out Thanks Jamie
-
How do the torsion bars come out of the crossmemeber. You don't have to undo the front on the lower control are do you? I need to reindex em Thanks Jamie
-
when it's done and sitting right
-
Well it's back together but won't drive in a straight line really needs an alignement. Also I have to adjust the torsion bars properly. SO off tp the alignment shop tomorrow... As far as pointers go. Follow the instructions!!, and put the bolts back in the same way they came out. The compression rods or what ever they are on the lower control arm area bitch to pput back in and as far as shortcuts I don't think so. Also give yourself lots of time I sort of knew what I was doing and I thin It has taken me 20 hr so far ANy other questions let me know
-
Well first time on a pathy but I have lowered and lifted a few other vehicles and am an aprentice heavy duty mechanic so It's not that bad as far a pictures go I took one of it on Jack stands with no wheels lol maybe will take some more tomorrow Later Jamie

Today I started the install of my trailmaster lift. What a lot of work I am glad I could do it at work and not in my driveway. Theonly problem I encountered so far... was the lower control arm bushings. I pulled out the centers then torched out the rest then beat out the rest of the collar. Then I out the front cross member back into the stock location cause I misread the instructions but now the front is almost done I think it should go smoother tomorrow though............I hope  -alcohol-
