  1. Yeah, this is true, but if you only turn the key like 1/2-3/4 turn, it locks the door without opening the window. I know exactly what you mean, When I was installing my stero I was like, " sweet, how &^%*@$# sweet is that!"
  2. LOL! no worries bro! But just to clarify, I have been riding bikes for since i was 13 yrs old, and the first bike that I was able to get was a 600, but I had been riding my brothers 600 with him as a learner for nearly two years. It was only after I had purchased my own that I was offered a real good deal on this bike (My TL), so I figured why not, I can afford it. But every point you have is definitly valid, and there is no substitute for proper instruction, ( although I have never taken a class ) . I admit, I have laid my bike down (my first one,) but I was being stupid and trying to act cool, and it ended up costing me. So don't worry about busting my chops bro, if it helps someone else out, and keeps unexperienced riders more aware, then by all means, bust those chops. There, i shall speak no more.
  3. I never said to start out with a liter bike, I just was making an example. I started on a 600, and it was fine but, after 2 weeks of not keeping up to my brother, i went bigger is all . And as for the kawasaki gsxr, i can't remember who said that, but it's a crock. Suzuki makes the gsx, not kawasaki. And getting training is the smartest thing you can do. But in my opinion ( you don't have to listen to me) i would say start with a 600, not a Hayabusa or gixxer 1000, cuz then you at least have a real bike, and aren't wishing you had more, that's all.
  4. I agree with jj on this one, don't con yourself into a small displacement bike, it'll just leave you wanting more fast. I ride a suzuki TL1000R, with full race exhast, and my little sister rides a honda firestorm 1000. Both of them are liter bikes, both are V-twins, but my bike is way faster, and hers is a lot more comfortable and streetable. I weigh in at 185, my sis is prob 120-130, her bike actually rides like a 600 (except it has gobs of torque in all gears.) Bikes are dangerous no matter what, I know a bunch of fools that went out and paid top dollar for yamaha scooters, Don't ask me why, and one of them got hit by a car and ended up in a hospital stay. So it's not what you ride, it's usually someone else hitting you, or cutting you off, and pain is the final solution. But Don't let the "what if" fear dissuade you from buying a bike. They &^%*@$# rule!
  5. I'd Say it doesn't even matter one bit if they legalize it or not. People will smoke no matter what. I smoke A LOT of weed, A LOT. At home, at work, before a drive, whenever. It doesn't make me drive any worse, I don't "zone out", i pay complete attention to what I'm doing, stoned or not. I'm a carpenter, and every day I run the risk of cutting off something important to me, and it could happen if if i get high, yes, but I could also do it while im stone sober and looking at a hot chick in the window of the house next door . I also have this to say about chiba, It doesn't make you dumb, it doesn't affect the quality of work that I do, and it won't limit the successes that one could have if you weren't stoned. I make almost 90,000 a year, and I get stoned on a daily basis. My "boss" is one of my best friends from high school, and his small business has grown to 5 crews of guys working for him, a warehouse/showroom, 4 company vehicles, a 3500 sq/ft home, bla bla bla, and he smokes an OZ a week. And the @!*% we smoke has to be high quality, or we just go to the next dude, it's not like there's a shortage of dealers or quality bud around here. Sorry for the rant, I just wanted to add my 2 cents to this. Oh and BTW I was smoking a huge coner as I wrote this, just because I wanted to.
  6. I also listen for mystery sounds to occur, But im in there with cdhicks And zonian But you can't forget about  /\SLAYER/\ Or :furious: Lamb of God... Both great for makin' you wanna just tear sh1t up! But like I said, mystery sounds will have the stereo off in a second, with me like "does anybody else hear that?!" Damn I hate mystery sounds.
  7. I went and took al ook for that thing today- and what do ya know, there it was :cool2: That little unit will save me a lttle bit of time when Im loading and unloading my drums at shows I say that's up there with orange thingy!
  8. I love my pathy, and almost everything about it. The biggest problem's I can find are 1. The #6 spark plug ( Mine never came with the handy tool I've heard so much about) 2. Alternator placement. I've had to change mine 3 times now due to it being so damn low. I guess i could stop driving through mud puddles, but what kind of fun would that be? Oh yeah, the weak steering, but I don't need to mention that again... sssh
  9. Oh for sure man, I'm lovin the pic, had me rollin on the floor when I saw it!
  10. I didn't know that, this is my first nissan...handy those orange thingys....
  11. I dunno if other vehicles have this but none of my old cars did- The little unit that holds your gas filler cap on the inside of the filler door. I love that, I never forget about the gas cap on top of the pump..... or on the roof.... or on the ground, or wherever you might put it if not for that little doodad. :cool2:
  12. Thanks, I 'll have to keep that in mind when I change it out next. Crap deal about the forums though, Id like to The d*ck who screws people around like that.....
  13. Hey 88, What year maxima alt? is it cheaper than a pathy alt? Oh BTW, whast happened to your forums? Haven't been able to get on for some time now.....
  14. I know your pain man, I have to replace mine almost every time I hit a deep pit -thnkboutit- . If you come up with a working solution to this problem, keep us posted.
  15. Mine is green, But I have never seen another pathy of the same shade
  16. I have mine in a box, and if you need cargo room, just take em' out. How hard is that? And I have my amp mounted here so as it's not a hassle to disconnect the wiring and it makes for hard theiven',
  17. I am also running my pathy with no cat. When i got my exhaust done, I took a look at how clogged it was and thought get rid of it. That and it was too expensive to get it done at the time. I figure I will put a new one in when I get my exhaust overhauled again. But It sounds way cool without one, and I have to be the first to admit that the exhaust does stink!
