  1. Not bad...except being under the intake BC that is a pita..

I prob should have mentioned this earlier but u did change the water pump, cam seals etc? This would be the time to do it...I would now change the all valve seals and replace the valves on #4...since you have a compression tester I'm sure u can put pressure in 1 3 and 5 to change those seals on the vehicle

Also a pm coming ure way

  2. I've been in nola in a good rain...a cat 1 or.2 woulda been good enough for me to leave...ESP since this was the first test of the levees which the same folks built as the first that failed...storm surge is no joke and unpredictable...all it takes is 1 or 2 pumps to fail in a perfect opportunity and boom nola is literally back under water

Sometimes u can't help a &^%*ing Yankee tho...Fran was the worst I went thru and we didn't have power for 5 days...I thought that was bad

  3. ^ forgot about the Russians in the rental thatstole the longest distance traveled over us...but I guarantee their trip.was easier than ours...but yea I will wheel.with anyone willing to learn...and earn respect out of a rig...took an fj places an fj prob shouldn't go but ifs training got him there which comes.with able and willing and trusting complete strangers to get u there...ill havee to relearn my rig and so will my spotter (sksurfs and the ole lady) but wheeling is Wheeling...learn it...love it...clean up other folks trash and keep it open

  4. Hey geaux tigers...got y'all in mid along with my adopted family down ya way....cookin a rice n gravy tonight for our "hurricane party"....that's BS Its just on the menu....common textron systems...I want a no...la not nola...lifestyle...but Cool we deal with troy (swamp people) weekly at work

  5. Could you ever get the money back out of the pathfinder though?

Same as post below this one(quote)..answer is hell no...unless u r steevo...BC I would pay him more than what he's got in it...

My jeep buddy is joining npora BC he loves my truck...maybe love is an exagsrated term but def shares the passion...mine is custom and limited like all other pathos...jeeps r bolt on...his comment today was tj of the month is what he wants to so but he has less than 20 posts BC they frown on that BC most people with less than 100 don't wheel their @!*%...I beg to differ...but he's not a jeep dick and understands jeeps..Nissan's...fords...Chevy...dodges...Isuzu...etc...same as me...I can give u @!*% but u can so the same to me...to each their own and lets wheel it...

Gone accepted him with open arms and it was awesome

  6. Torch will be a little slower...less heat and cleaner...plans.a torch fast and ugly unless u have a steady hand and/or a template...that's at least my experiences

Plasma has ton have compressed air and 220

    Oxyacetleyne needs a spark...

  7. My pathy is being SASd right now...so I wheel with jeeps...I've basically built my buddies Rubicon and in fact broke it last week (he stuttered on the throttle and dumped the front end bending the center link)

Now that being said we went with a 2011 jk on 35s and he had a lot more issues with the wheelbase...and IMHO its not a family safe vehicle for day to day use ESP side impacts...

Also its not a true d44 up front its a beefed up 30

Off the line in the us its is probably the most capable 2012 production vehicle...I've taken my 87ifs Nissan thru the same stuff I've spotted stock rubis thru...once I'm SASd and doubled and locked up front ill go places a Rubicon on 35s will have trouble doing...my buddy already knows when mine gets back on the trail all the @!*% talking (he jokes with me) its game on...he used to be a Nissan guy but now loves his heeps but can't stand a lot of Heep owners BC they're dicks lol

  8. I wouldn't consider bent valves a major repair...or even a hard repair to complete...i broke a TB when i was 18 or 19...bent 3 valves...I replaced the belt originally BC my mechanic friend has seen several folks get lucky and not bend anything but it is extremely rare....I rebuilt the top end with the gf at the times dad in 3 days, including waiting on parts...we dumped like $300 in parts/tools...engine stayed in the truck and really wasn't bad...intimidating yes but pretty easy

  9. I can do it in 2-3 hrs....out of both trucks and the swap into the new 1....entirely too much practice...

    Quick run down...

    Side defrost vents out

    radio trim out

    glove box and back out

    RH lower trim out

    rH a pillar trim out

    Lh a pillar out

    Lower lh cover out

    bottom center out

    cluster bezel out

Cluster out with harnesses (connects to Lh side if u have cruise but a screw behind that vent anyways

Other center bezel out (screw behind Ac switch and ash tray) AC cables and panel suck to removed and install

    Defrost vents out

screws for dash out (defrost vents and behind cluster)

Think that's about it... donno if this helps. http://www.4x4parts.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=527839&an=0&page=4#Post527839
