  1. One issue that comes to mind is your level of concern about topping out the struts. Seems to be more of an issue with the AC coils.
  2. Very nce! Glad to see the OME Struts - thinking of going with them next time. Looks good!
  3. I just fill up at the same places...Still is a statistical insignificance the longer you track overall mileage. Evens out in the end, like sitting in traffic or at the drive through window with the engine running. Not moving forward, but still burning gas in the tank. That can make a huge difference in readings over the life of a tank. I agree that many pumps are different – nozzle length, etc. Regardless of regulations, which are designed to make sure it’s tracking how much is dispensed properly, that doesn’t mean they all fill to the same level. Just means if it says it gave you 15 gallons, that’s what you got. Department of Units and Measures makes sure.

Not sure if he should have driven more, or not at all. Maybe he had the oil changed at a QuickLube....
  5. Not sure what that has to do with anything. The pumps are regulated to track how much is dispensed. The idea is to set the odometer to 0 when you have a full tank (at least where the pump shuts off). Drive, and when you fill back up again, look at how much you put in. This is how much you used - simple math from here. Not convinced there is a significant difference in where the pumps "top off". Besides after tracking for a while, it would become a statistically insignificant. To really understand performance, it needs to be tracked for a while.
  6. I check on a regualr basis - I average 15 MPG, mostly flat AZ highway (70-75 average) I'd say around 70/30 split. I know it goes up if I stay around 55-60, but then I'd get run over. Limits 65 anyway. I've been using premium gas. Feel like a few years ago I used to be better milage. Everyone always says it's fine and 15 is about what to expect. Hmmm...
  7. That cracks me up!!! LMAO! The cows are like
  8. Added another to AZ. But originally from central PA...almost no one in AZ is from here.
  9. From what I have read: There have already been an estimated 13,000 people die in the US alone of issues related to regular seasonal flu since January. There were an estimated 36,000 people that died last year in the US due to issues related to regular seasonal flu. World wide an estimated 250,000 - 500,000 died due to - you guessed it - issues related to regular seasonal flu (the cable company must have come up with that - "yeah we have an opening - we'll be there from 7am - 7pm no problem") Anyway my point is that although there is reason for concern, I believe it's been overly hyped. The reasons are primarily around the lack of vaccination issue. The precaution is in place to keep it from spreading beyond control. Which can happen very quickly these days. Still over hyped to date in my opinion. Issues = Complications
  10. Running 16X8 with 4" back spacing. 245/70/16 BFG A/Ts. Now this is on a QX4, and I know you can get biger tires than this without an issue. I'll be putting on bigger set next.
  11. Mine are 16X8 with 4" backspace. Between the extra inch width and backspace, I have issue with larger tires without cutting a bunch out. I know you have already taken steps to this, but a 9" wide 17" with 4.5 BS and a 32" tire!! How will you do it Batman!! Not sure that would even work on mine.
  12. As you say, to took 7 cars!! Very happy to hear everyone is ok.
  13. RockyRoad told me they were on like a 4 week backorder when I originally ordered from them.
  14. From what I could tell, the OME springs are actually about 1/2" taller than stock. The balance of the lift comes from a different compression rating. I think each of the options are physically like this, but have higher compression rates.
  15. I hope you don't mind I copy that and send it to a friend - That is classic!!

May I also suggest a nice layer of jalapeno peppers, perhaps in place of the pickles (? - tough call), would be worth while. Not that any of my creations have come close to your masterpiece, but the above suggestion has done me well with onions, and that stand-by lettuce, tomato, onion. As for Teflon...just kidding I always toss'em on a grill - less dishes to clean Oh yeah - and a pint or few of a good oatmeal stout!!! Save the wine for the un-ground meat IMO.
  17. I always like to have someone around, either a passenger or driving in another vehicle, especially here in the desert. Yes, I have taken kids - 3-4.5 yrs old, and they have a great time, even on some of the more difficult trails. Usually set them up with a portable DVD player, and a few movies. Stop for stretch and rock tossing breaks, and back on the trail. Certainly not good for an all day adventure though. They have been in standard age/weight appropriate car seats. Make sure you have the child locks on the doors!! A requirement all the time on and off road. A buddy and I take our kids (1+1=2) if the trail is appropriate and they have a blast together. Good to get them outdoors too. Wife doesn't like to go - car sick from time to time.
  18. Now that I think about it, there was about $150 that went towards replacing a ABS speed sensor, so really it was closer to $150 for the lift. The prices on parts where the cheapest I've seen anyone charge. They may have padded labor to make up the difference...no big deal. I'm happy!
  19. Agreed - you'll be fine on the road, but fix before going on the trail.
  20. Was fortunate enough to be able to give someone else the pleasure!
  21. 4 Springs, rear shocks, rear brake line relo-kit, misc parts, labor and alignment - $1200. Not making any claims this was a good deal. Actually, I'd bet just about anything that someone will come back with a on the cost, but as this wasn't something I was going to tackle, I didn't mind. Same guys I got a screaming deal on rims from, so it's give and take. I purchased the spacers separately, but had them install at the same time.
  22. Count me in for a sticker, shirt, license plate, hat, belt buckle, rear tire cover (whoops, no dice on the Q...), whatever...
  23. After trying with Rocky Road, I ordered my OME stuff from a local 4x shop who went directly to ARB - worked great!
