ok well i went out and did as you said. the hub and the axle is broken on the left side. the right side the hub wouldn't click in at all. so it must be broken too.
-
yeah thats what my dad said too and yes it is an open diff. this summer i'll put lockers on them though

Ok i'm confusiin myself too. Lets start with the front, left CV axle. it is spinning. but it's not spinning the wheel. the joint that attaches the axle to the wheel is broken and clicking. Now the right front CV. the axle did not spin at all anywhere. and the wheel is not spinning the left back wheel just moved a little at the begginning then stopped moving the right back wheel spun constantly.

HELP: front suspension noise after installing new cv boot?
Tosh replied to fukkeneh240's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
oh. i know nothing about the r50s.haha sorry for the misinformation. -
ok well NONE of the right front axle moved at all. but the left front axle spinned but it wasn't turning the wheel. they joint at the wheel was just clicking and it looked broken. the transmission case clicks in so it's not that. but in 2 or 4 wheel drive the back left tire wouldn't move it. the back right one was spinning normally but at most the left on just wiggled a little.

i just jacked uo my truck today to luck at my cvs and one of the one's that was broken made a loud clicking noise. but the cvs shouldn't be turning if you're in 2 wheel drive. You sure the hubs are unlocked? -
well today i jacked it up and the front left cv joint next to the wheel was definetely broken and clicking loudly. the right front axle wasn't even turning at all so idk whats up there. But something new,the back right tire didn't turn at all. which wasn't expected.would that have to deal with th differential?
-
well i think i'm gonna do it cause the trucks startin to stink from years of dogs and mud and water.haha
