I got a reply from the seller and it's out of a 4 cylinder and it has 27 splines so i'm guessing he miscounted and it's 28 splines. So i'm not sure of the answer here, will it fit in an 88 pathy V6?

JJ Big Shoe. That's the best idea i've heard all week! I'm definately going to look into that.

Has anyone done this with there pathy's? I've been in a couple toyotas with dual cases and I definately see where they can come in handy.

Uhmm heater hose as in the hose that goes to your heater core on your pathy. If you have the coils out of the vehicle your best bet would be to go down to your local parts store and ask to see there different hoses. Find one that fits real snug on the end of the coil. You know now that I think of it it could have been a garden hose I saw. :confused:

Well 88 suggested online at some place like McMaster Carr, luckily we have a fastener company here in town that had them. You need grade 8.8 or better. I'm not positive how much lift I got but if I had to guestimate I would say about 1-1/2". I could get more i'm almost positive, but I was feeling lazy and didn't want to reindex the t-bars. As for your JGC coils I seem to remember another member on here used heater hose. He or she just cut off a length and shoved it on the end of the coil.

It's amazing how quickly they change the price Well it took me about a day to get mine installed. I also decided to go ahead and put in new upper ball joints while I was in there. Let me tell you, getting the old bj's out was a pain in the you know what. I followed 88's suggestion and put in longer spindle bolts, other than that everything you need should be included in the kit. I'm not sure how much more lift I squeeezed out of the old girl but I have one suggestion. After everything is complete and you decide to crank the old torsion bars all the way, make sure you are near an alignment shop! I was about 15 miles from one and it was a very slow trip. Between the t-bars and and some sloppy steering components my front end was squeeling like a stuck pig and trying to throw me all over the road. Good luck with your install. p.s. A hydraulic press really helps getting the old bushings out.

I feel for you. I'm in about the same position. Went in saturday for alinment and was told the centerlink and the idler arm need to replaced. Arhh. :furious: (sorry about the spellin , the key in between F and H quit workin.)

Ok mine are going in tomorrow and i just need to clarify. Do the bushings that came with the arms fit or do i need to use the old ones? Any tips or tricks anybody can think of is appreciated.

Mine broke same spot. The rubber just crumbled on mine. if i remember correct I used heater hose to replace it.

Ok just got mine on order, negotioated price of $130.00 to my door in 7-10 business days. Very nice guy I talked with but I didn't get his name. Just to give everyone a heads up he said he only had about 4 left in stock.

Thnaks for the encouragement Mr. Pickles. The shop said if I bring in the parts they would install them for around $75.00. From your experience do you think it would be worth it, or should I just dive in and do it myself?

Well I just got back from the alignment shop and it turns out both UCA's are bent. They were able to tweak the alignment enough to make it drivable until I can replace the UCA's. Sounds like a good time to finally get those superlift arms

The wheel rubbed on the bottom front and the bottom back of the fenders.

So here's the story. A buddy let me try on a pair of 33X12.5 for a day of wheeling to see what was going to rub and what not. Well something has shifted bent ot broke with the driver side tire. Maybe this has happened to someone else on here and they have some input. If you are standing in front of the truck looking at the tire, the top of the tire is leaning out away from the vehicle. It makes a god awfull squeel if i go above 5MPH and the front end feels like it's going to throw me any way it wants to at anything above 25MPH. BTW this is with the 31x10.5 back on. Tomorrow i'm going to take it in for a hopefully free estimate to repair it but I would like to go in with at least tthe slightest clue of what is wrong so I don't get you know what by the alignment shop. 3" Body lift, swaybars removed.

Thanks for the specs 88, I went out and counted the coils last night and I figure about 8-1/4 which makes sense with the amount I cut off. Next step is to find some calipers. Good luck with that front end Precise1.

Whoa! That doesnt sound normal to me. Unless you have done a little destruction derby or some serious banging around. A second opinion might definately be called for.

SC88Pathy, you could be right about the sagging springs, it seems that with no load they should be sitting a little more straight up than they are now. They seem to be compressed more than some of the other pics I have seen. Precise1, It's nice to hear from somebody that's heard of this stinking town. Everybody still plays down under the bridges but they have brought in a private company to run a dirt bike track down there, so it's hit and miss if you're going to get ran off the property. I'm still relatively new to the 4WD areas around here and haven't been to the places you're talking about. I've been to the high lakes north east of sterling city and on the four dice trail off of highway 80. I would definately be up for a trip this summer, keep me posted! I cut the springs instead of bending the pig tails, but not much. I think I'll try the spring spacers and see what happens.

OK here's the problem. I put in JGC coils, removed rear swaybar and now if I get a little to flexed in the back one of my coils will pop out. Any suggestions? Maybe I got duped and was given the V6 coils instead of the V8. What about spring spacers, would that fix the problem? Here is a pic of it flexed to the point where I can move the spring around easily, any further and it comes out. Flexed

ya fixed the plate, little to much fun flying through the water -alcohol- . The lake would be perfect for wakeboarding jetskis etc. A little cold right now but the nice thing is we had the entire lake to oursleves. The only other person that showed up was a forest ranger checking on us. Fun Fun. Oh ya for you peeps that noticed the snow chains, I now know they work alot better on the front wheels of a 4wd.
