  1. Its the FCC, they are sneaky little bastards! I've been thinking about getting a CB, somone needs to justify it for me And where/how do you mount them inside your trucks?
  2. I just took in my Pathy for a lot of work. Included in that work (a frikkin Thousand dollars worth!) was the SES light for the evap canister cellanoid. Got it back from the shop, the next day, THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON!
  3. I have no idea where this thread has gone, but I have a 2000 Pathfinder, 5 speed manual, and I live in Virgnina.
  4. Honestly, what is the purpose of that thing? all you could do is run it up and down the beach or somthing. You cant turn it going faster than 15mph!
  5. So I was driving up a mountain a few weeks ago, and hit the worst fog I've ever seen. I couldn't see 2 feet in front of my truck. I realized after that, I have a use for fog lights. My lights were just blinding me. I have knockouts for the lights, and there are a lot of blank switches under the radio. Any suggestions on what are good lights, and where I can get an OEM switch to fit on my dash?
  6. Cool, Thanks guys My girlfriend works at a Nissan Dealer, and I asked one of the sales guys/parts guys who really knows his stuff about cars, and he said that the lift would make it drive more like a truck, and that the appeal of the Pathy was that it drove like a car. I told him I wanted it to feel like a truck!
  7. I am assuming that since you are raising the center of gravity, the rollover risk is higher. But how much higher is the center of gravity, since the tires weigh so much more? I ask because I still want to get the lift/tire combo, (I just still don't have the money) And I drive in the mountains a lot on very curvy roads with lots of switchbacks. How would my driving be affected with the lift? Thanks!
  8. I just got slammed with a huuuuuge bill today. Took in my Pathy to get some work done, evap system, alignment (I dunno HOW that could have gotten out of whack ), Drive belts and some other random things, and the dude calls me back and says he would STRONGLY recommend a coolant system flush and power steering flush, as both fluids were discolored. With all that and a spare key being made (I presently only have one) the total came to just under a grand! :o I know the guy isn't jerking me off either, because my girlfriend works at the dealership! I'd love to learn how to do most of this stuff myself, but I just can't right now. I don't have anywhere to do the work (I live in an apartment in the city) Don't have the tools, and don't have the time to learn, with school and all
  9. I just did that today, but....... I used my girlfriends Employee Discount
  10. I'm looking for some Rubber Mats, Is Huskyliner the way to go?
  11. Where do you ride and what do you ride? I have an '04 Rocky Mountain RMX I loooooooooooove that bike. (I've got a bunch of others too, but... the RMX is the center of the pack) Its kinda hard to decide if I want to spend money on bikes, or my truck I want to get a setup like dj's yeah your the one that showed me this site from ridemonkey. i got an 04 balfa bb7. and also a draco industries v3 and i just received a heavy bikes connect four jones edition prototype. yeah thats pretty much what i wanna do to mine. any one know what tires run? later "broken bike mike" Uh Oh, shes on to me! So who are you on RM? And Nasty, towing is a good point, I guess I'll have to do the lift after all
  12. I looked around on the net, and then searched these forums. Looks like they are the way to go! And its cool that the guy that runs it is on this site.
  13. Hey BigBikeMike, I just got those same #'s pulled about 2 weeks ago. Usually for me it just turns off after a few days. mines been on for like 2 mos
  14. So I'm looking to do a lot to my truck at the end of the summer. I've got a 2000 Pathy, 5 speed. I know armor is important, but after poking around under my truck I found that the clutch is very exposed. I plan on getting new tires soon, and then the next move will probably be armor. I have this fear of snagging my clutch on somthing and that little exposed lever just getting ripped off. That'd be bad. So what do ya'll use? These look pretty decent linky
  15. Hmm........ I have a clunk too, in the front passenger side. Its whenever I go over bumps. Now I know what to check

  17. so, does that mean that once I fix the problem, i'll get better mileage
  18. Weird, I was logging on to talk about the same type of problem. I have a 2000 Pathy, and the codes come back pointing at the evap canister cellanoid. I got P0440, evap small leak, and P1448, evap canester vent cellanoid. My light has been on for awhile, I didnt think it was a big deal. I hope my Pathy doesn't catch on fire!
  19. Thanks for all the info Xplorx :thumb: I am a novice, i've been off road a couple times on my crappy road tires. I got stuck bad in the mud, so I decided not to do it again until I at LEAST get some tires. That being said, I figured it would be best to do the tires and lift at the same time. I figure all told, it will cost me about $1200 for the AC lift and some BFG AT's. then I started researching it, became a member here, and found out there are complications. So with this manual locking hub, in order to put it in 4wd, you have to use the selecter in the vehicle, and then get out and switch them on? but leave it off for regular use? Sorry I don't know much about this stuff, thats why I'm researching first, then buy and play
  20. Yeah, I didnt think about that its the spare that was in the way.... Although, if I get bigger tires, and a rack on top for the bigger spare, I dont have to worry about it
  21. Here is how it works, a picture cut from the owners manual
  22. Its not that the rack doesnt slide all the way in, that is where the hole for the bolt lines up with the hole in the hitch. I'll take a picture later, and hope you can come up with an idea, but if it involves cutting off part of the rack and drilling a new hole, taht wont work, because its not just a regular hitch pin....... Thanks
  23. What kind of riding do you do, and what kind of bike(s) do you have? I've put quite a bit of weight in my Pathy, havent even noticed. The last Downhill Race I went to, I had myself, my friend, and my girlfriend, 2 Downhill Bikes hanging off the back (~50lbs each) and all our Gear. It was quite a bit of stuff, but I could easily fit more
