  1. Yeah well you're just a dick! J/K Everyone's got their opinion and that's what I'm here to find out. Personally I like the look but I'm mainly looking at buying one to add a little weight to my en route OME HD springs and have no reason to purchase a $1K bumper. Billy
  2. I wouldn't ask if I was looking for fluff. Billy
  3. More clearance and bigger tires flat desert offroading. Billy
  4. So has anyone added an aftermarket brushguard? I'm thinking of buying this Steel Craft one for my 01 black w/silver trim QX4: What do you think? Billy
  5. So I've got an 01 QX4 2WD no bumper/winch. I've got the OME HD setup on it's way and was thinking because of the lack of front differential that the front will sit level with the back without a strut spacer. So is installing strut spacers and doing the bump stop trick for the rear springs to achieve a 3" lift a good idea or not? What is the disadvantage of a 3" lift over a 2"? Thanks! Billy
  6. As you stated you will lose a lot of light with party gels or CTB(color temperature blue). When I first replaced my clock light with dealer supplied parts each bulb was a freaking $28 and it's nothing but a small tungsten filament bulb on a base with a blue color correcting cover. The led replacements I bought were a whopping $1.79/ea and each of the four climate control led's were only $1.25/ea. The last Lee Filter sheet I bought was $6.50. Billy
  7. I'm pretty sure the clock is exclusive to the QX4's, you've got a digital clock in your Pathy right? Does the QX4 have more bulbs just in the instrument cluster? Here's what the back of mine looks like: Billy
  8. After reading this again I'm wondering if I can put a dash from an '01 pathy into my '01 QX4, anyone know? Reason why is the '01 QX4 uses a slim florescent tube to illuminate the speedo and tach so I'm stuck with stock white. Here's hot it looks with the Pioneer Nav Unit:
  9. Wow you got lucky, how the #@&% did it break?? Those things are ticking bombs and scared the sh!t outta me when I was messing with them. I just got an email from Steven @ Rugged Rocks, the 922's are back ordered till May 5th, I'm bummed! Billy
  10. Tyler should be shipping those out in the next few days Last year my buddy and I changed out my shocks and struts and had to deal with the springs. That was a pain in the ass for the first side, I think it took about 4 hours. Once we figured out the passenger's side and the smoke cleared it only took us about 30min for the driver's side. We had no idea how to use the spring compressor but figured out that it's much easier if you let them do the work for you. Billy
  11. So how much of a pain will it be to add the spacers after the rig is all put together? I'd be stoked if I don't need the spacers. Billy
  12. Now that's good to know, thanks! Billy
  13. I must have skipped over that one I wonder if his 2002 is identical to mine because the ride height could be different right? Billy
  14. If searching harder means going through 11 pages then f-that. I think a search engine that brings up relevant posts opposed to entire threads would make things much easier and the board in general wouldn't have to answer the same question 10x. Billy
  15. I really don't understand why everything says 0.5" and 0.75" lift springs. Is it really that difficult to give the proper dimensions? I'm going to order my 922's right now, woot woot! Billy
  16. So it seems kind of hard to find a definitive answer to this question so I ask: How much lift do the OME 923 front and 922 rear springs add? I've got a 2WD 2001 QX4 without an ARB bumper/winch. Billy
  17. I totally remember those, they were huge and super overpriced. I think back then you payed about $2/watt right? I've got my old Crossfire 402 sitting at my shop, still works like a champ! Billy
  18. Is that for the Alarm? Billy [EDIT] That's what it is! You see the electrical tape that I'm using to hold it up with? That's formerly what kept it in place, needless to say the clip is broken. So what does it do now that it's connected?
  19. Posted this up on Nico as well: So I was looking around my engine compartment and found this connector just hanging, tt's behind my driver's side head lamp. Anyone know what it is? Billy
  20. As everyone else stated check to see if your headunit has a sub pre-out. If it does it also has a HPF (High Pass Frequency) crossover built into it which gives you the ability to choose what frequencies are fed to your door speakers. When you bridge that 4 channel amp you might be outputting the wrong resistance to your sub box. You might have to rewire the subs to series, parallel, or series/parallel in order to get everything correct. One question, why on earth would you put 2x12's in a 3000GT? That thing must have rattled like a mofo! At least when a dude drives by and his ride ride sounds like an empty salt shaker from a seafood restaurant you get a good laugh out of it. Billy
  21. I'm sure Fueler appreciates you coming to his defense, FYI I thought that he had already known it was only 2WD. The reason why I'm thinking the HD springs is because they just seemed to be the top choice and I had no idea that everyone with HD springs had winches and bumpers on the front. I've been waiting for a few days to get a reply from OME on which springs and part numbers they recommend for my setup. I left them a voicemail last week to with no reply, at this point I'm kind of over them due to their poor customer service. Billy
  22. I thought about doing the sub frame drop but figured only being 2WD it wouldn't be worth it. Billy
  23. So what would cause them to hit that maximum angle? Too much travel? If you're only light wheeling is this an issue and would warn hubs help if it's only 2WD? Hey if you can get a gag on her then by any means have at it! Hell, I'll even help you! LOL I got a little on the ride home from work around 5 and then it started to really come down about 7. It's moving south so you're probably getting the tail end of it. Weird weather patterns we've have this year but supposedly we're right on track with our average rainfall. My buddy and I are hoping it's over because we're taking his supped up Shebly GT500 to the Irwindale track to drag this tool in a new Nissan GTR. I'm not a big fan of mustangs but his ride is insane. He's upgraded above all of the factory Shelby suspension, wheels, tires, supercharger, Mass Air Flow Meter, Intake, engine stabilizers, and a ton of other stuff I can't remember, sh!ts nuts. He's also got an 05 Cobra with slicks that's pushing 575BHP. Billy
  24. Sweet! So if they're jacked up I'm driving my limped-ass QX4 down to SD and post you up hog tied and naked in front of typhoon saloon! LOL BTW I used to spend 4-5 days a week down there surfing and partying, I did that for about 5 years. Billy
  25. So would you buy the used GR2's w/OME HD springs? And to be honest I don't know much about the CV Axle schpeel, consider me an offroad newb but I'm trying to learn. Thanks brutha! Billy
