  1. Its a Photochop.. look through the rims. easy one to spot.
  2. not that fat! hah! I dont know a single tow truck driver that's willing to leave a gravel road... airlift time baby!.. it almost be worth it for the pictures.. whats that cost anyhow? 1000 bucks an hour?
  3. I would certainly install that modification on my unique whip. Word upwards My african american sibblings.
  4. I've always kind of wondered what you guys would do if you where on a trial and a TRE or some other IMPORTANT steering componant broke. anyone ever had that happen while on the trail? How would you get it home?
  5. how would you make money off those? they cost an insane amount!
  6. Lookin now, thanks guys. Lol, I'm not looking for a race car, so the stock engine will do just fine They are pretty reliable then huh?
  7. Yea, I'm gonna try and talk him down, but you have to remember thats 2000 CAD, not USD, and here in BC car prices are very inflated. Its in pretty good shape and he is the original owner, plus I work with him, so its not like he's going to screw me. but yea 250,xx km is a little high. On the other hand, if those 4 cyl's are anything like our v6's its still got a lot of life left in it. see: http://www.canadatrader.com/result/result....&dm=1&mph=false anyone know any good resources for HB info? I can't find anything even remotly the caliber of this site on google.
  8. I might be picking up a 93 hardbody for about 2k to replace my current work beater. It has 250,xxx km's on it, needs a timing belt, possibly a clutch in a little while (its still the originial) and shocks. The guys thats selling it is from my shop, and he's the original owner so he knows anythig thats wrong with it. Its the 4 banger and I dont know much about those, if anyone has any thing I should ask him or look into, any advice would be great!
  9. its all about the WOO WOOOOO!!! lol, Personally I think The typical Ricer Fart cans are JUST as bad, if not worse than those things.Even ones that are done tastefully that make the car sound like it might actually have some grunt to it. The reason? When they take off from a dead stop, they still have to rev their cars to 4000rpm cause its still gutless.
  10. That thing is B.A. man.. holy crap.
  11. if he wasn't religeous before, i bet he is now
  12. Could be that ur hubs work fine, but where not engaged yet. Sometimes if they are worn or need cleaning, they don't engage untill you roll back or ahead a bit... At least thats what I found with mine.
  13. lol.. sayyy pezzy, where ever did you find that fantastical design? I'd buy one in Camo (black green and white) if it was available.
  14. I want that 4door Hilux!! Holy freakin crap thats cool.
  15. Not talking about politics, is right up there with Not lending or borrowing money from friends.
  16. http://www.canadatrader.com/result/detaili...51&pgno=2&srt=1 hehe its my ad!! Horrible picture though.
  17. Yea insurance in Vancouver is INSANE!!. I paid 230 a Month for the bare minimum of coverage. Theft, Fire, Vandalism, And Liability. Mind you I'm under 25 so that doesn't help. If I insure it where my parents live in kelowna I'm sure I could save about 80 bucks, just because where I live is considered a High risk area... I'm not racist.. but thank you immagrants! bah, what Can you do. I have till the end of the month to get it off the lot, so I'm thinking about shipping it out to my parents lot with the transfer papers already signed, so they can sell it over there for me. There seems to be a lot of wealthy people in that area, and Lots of people Like SUV's with 4wd cause of the snow they get. so hopefully I can get my asking price there. We'll See. Also... I'm not leaving you guys!!! If it even sells, I'm just on a break. I'd like to own another one as soon as its financially feasible.
  18. im selling my Pathfinder, My landlord says I have till the end of the month to get rid of one of my 3 vehicles... one's undergoing resto, the other is my DD. The pathfinder is the most expensive to insure, drive, and repair. So its gotta go.. for now. I tried listing it at 6500 CAD, but only got 2 calls Im listing it at 6000 and we'll see. its in really good shape all over, only the paint is really lacking with a few chips here and there, but almost NO dents, and NO rust. the only thing messing me up im pretty sure is the fact that it has 276,xxx Km's on it. Which for a pathy really isnt all that much. There's no leaks, (other than the exhaust which is pretty quiet still). I paid 7500 for it last year. Thats before the gas prices took off, and thats what they where selling for... even ones with that much milage. Plus this one had ALL the features. Four wheel disc, LSD, Adjustable Shocks, heated Seat, new 31" tires, the big rims, mint interior, cd player (a given) no accident. etc etc. your thoughts?
  19. Update time: an update is USELESS WITHOUT PICTURES!!! hah!! Do that to a nissan in 45 minutes flat!!... actually removing the rear spring cost me about 4.5 HOURs not 45 minutes... but the manifold/header was zoom zoom. The more I look at it jacked up on one side like that, the more I want it like that all the way around. It just sits so nicley... but now my dreams have been dashed. I took the rear spring thats missing in that picture, into a leaf mfg today, and after quoting me 250 a piece to make new ones, They also added that they looked to be in good shape and pondered why I might be changing them. To which I replied: "well this here sheet says I have to, yup its clear as day... Fail Items: Blah blah blah.. lots of crap... Spring+attachments - Front and Rear Leaf srpings -Front and Rear Shackle Bushings worn and or detiorated" Leaf dude: " well I'd give that inspector another call and see what exactly was wrong with them, cause this one looks just fine to me." "alright, thanks, I'll be in touch" *click* <- my neck, not the phone... then I hung up. INSPECTOR DUDE: "Hello, gary speaking" "hey gary its paul here, I hope you remember that Old Land cruiser I brought in a while back, I just needed to clarify a small issue on the form" "sure go ahead" "alright well, I was looking into replacing the leafs and whatnnot, and the leaf mfger said that they all look ok, Was it the entire leaf, or just the bushings that needed replacing, the form isn't too clear." "nope just the bushings" "NICE!, thats awesome news, thanks gary" "no problem" "alright thanks again" "No problem" "bye" "no problem, errr bye" So now here's my Dilema. I have to remove all the leafs anyway now, to get at the bushings.. another local shop quoted me 165 a pop for 2.5 inch lift springs, and a 2 week wait. That'll put me over my deadline for the re-inspection, and i'll need to fork over another 160 bucks or whatever for anohter full inspection, where they could potentially change their minds on certain issues (Ei: my rusty arse doors). HMMMM.. its a dilly of a pickly for sure. I'm stuck on the fence on this decision. Since The only difference between a taller ride, and not, is the amount of money, and not the work. truthfully, new springs might be EASIER to put back in... god knows the old ones where a SOB to get out. Your thoughts and comments?
  20. WHOA! This friggen rocks!!.. WAYYYY better than autozone.. even though they have more pictures.
  21. 5-8k In what currency? thats insane!
  22. lol... this doesn't feel right.. We're making light of a potentially BAD BAD situation... :X
  23. silly people.. its just a nail getting stuck in the tire while he was driving... tick tick tick, till the nail flew out, then slap slap slap as the flat tire flapped around wildly! Right??? RIGHT????? For your sake dude, I really hope thats the case.
  24. 95 Se 276,xxx Km's Manifold tick.. probably one or more broken studs Tansmission isn't shifting smooth at all Paint chips EVERYWHERE Driver side headlamp is cracked and keeps burning out bulbs Blowing White smoke till the engine gets warm.. not sure why PS Sun visor Wont stay up <- MOST ANNOYING THING EVER! I think thats about it really... the LSD might be a bit worn out, but other than that , I guess she's in pretty good shape for its age.
