  1. Not that I am aware of. As far as I know, all hardbody 2wd center links have the small taper size on both ends. It is required to use a 90-92 pitman arm on your truck, which has the correct small taper hole for the center link. It also has the correct large splined hole on the large end to fit the steering gear output shaft diameter which your 93 steering gear uses.

You can pull one from the junk yard for next to nothing. Just make sure the production dates of the donor truck matches those posted earlier in the thread. Bring a pitman arm puller, a mapp gas torch, a big crescent wrench (or the proper socket) and a BIG HAMMER. lol.

    What size socket is that?

  2. That actually sounds typical for the Maxima swapped alts. Mine will sometimes not charge well at idle either. I think Simon or someone else had it do it on theirs as well.

I think it might be a pulley size issue.

I do remember some talk about this issue also
  3. I got a really good deal on some 33x12.5x15's the other day so I snagged them. I'm thinking about selling them and trying to find some 10.5's instead. My question to you all that have run 33's is:

Is there that big of a difference between 12.5 and 10.5 as far as power and MPG goes?

Or is the difference so small that I should just stick with the 12.5's and be done?

    Any insight is appreciated

  4. Hey Bud, AFAIK the CLs are still available, but there might be a wait.

Honestly, I went with a 4x4 parts unit for the idler arm brace, it was the cheapest and should be good enough, far better than nothing. The only thing I did was cut some useles stock off, I can post a pict if you are curious. Other than that, I think home made and Calmini are the only options? I have a Calcrapy laying around somewhere you can have if you want, but it wouldn't mount so that's not doing you any favors.

Sorry, don't know if GrandpaX is making them, but he should. I believe he has a thread in the Vendor section and is on E-Bay as well.

    B

thanks B, I got those 33's today so now I am more than ready to beef up the steering. I have been gone for a while so I didn't know if there was something new I haven't seen yet. I will not consider crapmini specifically because of your issue. If someone has a crapmini that they have actually installed and it fit and worked that's another thing, but I wont buy one new.

  5. Alright fella's and fella-girls. I need the cheapest most effective IA brace links. Don't want Calimini-crappy (unless it is used and actually been proven to fit and work). Does Grandpa X make these? Been gone for a bit and I know I used to have the answer to this question so I apologize now for asking. Did I search, well yes, a bit and didn't find what I was looking for.

So if somebody doesn't mind posting a link or listing the makers and prices of IA braces that are available nowadays I would appreciate it. I don't need calmini or 4x4 parts info, already know all about those.

Thanks in advance, oh yeh, is Hoohaa still doing CL's. and if not what is everyone doing now about the CL?

  6. yeh I got the "refrigerant plus oil with system safe leak sealer" can that comes with the little gauge hose thing, then I read the owners manual and thought " I need to ask my NPORA peeps about this before I go any farther" :D

  7. Is it safe to use the wally world interdynamics brand EZ Chill AC recharge can in our pathy's? Mines a 93 so I do have R-134A but I looked in the owners manual and it says

"must be charged with R-134a and the lubricant, Nissan A/C System Oil Type R....Use of any other refrigerants or lubricants will cause severe damage " :ohno01:

anyone know if it's OK to use this stuff? :scratchhead:
