Today was fun too.....

He just loves to wheel hard...
-
The mirror is busted... it is just hanging straight down on that pic. The mud did cushion the truck from to much damage. There was ice under the mud, so it made things interesting. He slid and went to the top of the embankment on the left... the truck didn't stay there long.

Hmm, here are some pics from one of the other cameras.

That is the beauty of this world.. we can all have own own taste!! I bet the bumper will look great.
-
I like how you don't have the brushguard/bullbar across the top. It makes it a nice Pathfinder with a winch bumper, not a nice winch bumper bolted to a Pathfinder.
-
Went on a weekday wheeling run.. Here are the PICS
-
Putting the winch in the bumper really pushes it out there. However it sure looks great with all the angles. Keeping it straight while welding may be a somewhat of a challenge. It may help to take it off the truck and clamp it down to a piece of channel while it is going through the heating cooling process.. are (or have) you welded the backside of the works? What are you going to do for blinkers? A good stroll through a junkyard you may find some smaller units to incorporate in the design. Looks awesome!!! Mine is a little less complex... A coat of Herculiner helped cover up some of the grinder marks etc.

   Now that is what they call... SUGER COATED!!

Knoxville, did you ever want these free parts???? -thnkboutit- whhhaaahhhahhahahhahahahhahhahahahha

That is my junk... More Pics

Those are the poly bushings from A/C. They have an hourglass shape when out of the control arm. I have been using them for two years without any gripes.... I left the factory bushings in the arms (the arms were all from a junkyard) so I would burn up the good poly units when welding. They will all have the polys out of the original arms here shortly.

Got some cleaning up and bracing to do, almost done.. All pics of project...

Here is what got accomplished today... It is far from being done....

Needed something to do.. Rear Arms

Wondering where the pics of the finished product are???

Awesome... you are going to be on a solid axle in no time!! LOL, here is the 44/60 mix. 35 spline shafts all the way.... ARB and Detroit make a 35 spline locker for the 44.

Any trailer supply place has those shackles, they are like 8 bucks ea. The Metal yard will have receiver tubing, it has the seam removed from the inside. What I could recommend is weld this stuff on now, you need to put a couple more coats of herc on anyway. As far as your welding.... who cares.. yank the crap out of it when you are offroading. If it breaks it is not like you don't have a welder to fix it... learning is half the fun of wheeling Before other stuff: After:

It has Minnesota plates... I saw it from I-70, just had to pull in and check it out.... the vultures were circling!! -thnkboutit-

I about lost my lunch when I saw this.... All that work for? wow
-
Trial by fire...
-
They come with a jig to drill through the frame in the right position... looks like a nice set of bushings, the shackles look like thicker material than what's used my 3/4 ton truck. Hmm, guess we will find out how they work, cause there is going to be a few people using them.

I have a Calmini steering system laying in the corner of the garage. It did the job for a couple seasons and yes it wasn't perfect and no you can't have it. However it is a patch for a crappy system to begin with (As in the whole Nissan front end, my A/C control arms squeaked the whole time I used them.). For the most part the rest of their products have treated people well. What I feel most were a little discouraged with was the attitude of the customer service. With the recent posts I have read, it looks like they are asking what folks really want.... hmm, that sounds like a change from what we all heard about in the past. I'm keeping my fingers crossed XXX XXX The crawler gears are awesome!!! It is just amazing the difference they made with my rig....
