Am I remembered around these parts? not sure.. I'm starting ot hit the forums alittle as I have things to share but we'll see how it goes.. Today I'm popping in to share some tech on 2 way radios that are common in the off-road desert racing space on VHF here on the west coast. The same pricipals apply for other radios as well, but the math in the video would need to be tweaked. I hope someone learns something from this here: Your radio doesn’t actually suck, but your antenna system can probably use some help. Here is the first video in a 2 part antenna system series where I attempt to simplify the importance quality coax, antennas, antenna setup and tuning. The results are quite drastic.
