So I've been looking into getting a snorkel for my R50 pathfinder for a couple of months now. Ive gone through many a forums that say D22 petrol snorkels work as they match up with the square air box that the R50 has, however it does require some structural change to the car. Ive found some r50 snorkels that are designed to suit but they all seem to be quite pricey and have poor quality reviews. Ive also gone over doing a custom 3" stainless aswell but that might be a future project. For now I've ordered a D22 snorkel and will be undertaking the project when its delivered but im still open to change and trying new ideas! so please drop some below!

Mostly it follows your oil change interval and type of oil. This is 7000mile oil changes with havoline and castrol dyno oil: This is an unknown interval and oil type: This is the same cylinder head at 3000-5000mile oil changes with top tier synthetic oil: I agree with Slart, that discoloration on your rockers is probably from the PCV system. So new sway bar link is installed.. With the front control arms and some Manual hubs plus another set of chamber bolts... fun this evening..

I'm getting ready to install my snorkel Tuesday or Wednesday weather permitting on my 2003 Pathfinder LE. The snorkels that I have found, have all been pricey. I purchased the R50 snorkel kit from 4x4Parts.com.

Oh my god, that is PERFECT!!!! Thank you so much. The short 4 inch hose just to the left of that bracket is what I broke trying to remove it, so I could see if I could free the lower plenum. I don't know if removing it was even necessary. It looks like it's part of some oil return line or something? Anyway, it's a formed and hardened rubber piece, I found a reinforced hose of similar size at the auto parts store that I cut to fit. Ended up just bypassing the swirl valve screws, did the power valve screws and got it all back together. Regarding that bracket, I did find that top screw and removed it, but I never found the other two, even hunting around with a small mechanic's mirror and a light. That photo is a tremendous help... I wish I'd seen it before hand. Thank you again!

If it is like my 01, there are 2 rubber bushings at the top of the brake pedal arm, and one bushing on my clutch pedal arm. They all got brittle and fell out last year. On the brake, they are used to contact the switches that control the brake lights, and cruise control disengagement. When my brake light one fell out, I had a dead battery because the brake light switch is a normally closed switch. When the cruise one fell out, the cruise wouldn't engage. Not without spacers, no. The issue is when you go larger than 31" the tire contacts the strut. You have to move the tire/wheel outward to give the clearance necessary for larger tires. After that you can cut to your heart's desire.

I answered a few of your questions regarding SFD, gears, and LSD in another reply from you before seeing this post. Bumpers options are nonexistent, except a rather expensive ARB...probably wouldn't do much good for mudding. I'm working on producing some bumper brackets for those considering a custom route; I've built up a winch bumper on mine with the first prototype. Welcome aboard!
