87pathfinder4banger Posted April 12, 2004 Share Posted April 12, 2004 hey guys, im new to this site. i've had my Pathfinder for 1 1/2 years now. it's a 4 cyl and im on my 3rd water pump because the first one the fan clutch seized, the second one broke, and now my fan clutch is seized again. i've checked all the belts and they all seem to be on correctly. what is wrong and what should i do? sw Posted April 14, 2004 Share Posted April 14, 2004 sounds strange is there any clearance issues with the fan? is it the rigth fan as for the wp if your chewn em up - are you doing the belts too tight? i know its not much help but its a start :confused: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
87pathfinder4banger Posted April 14, 2004 Author Share Posted April 14, 2004 thanks for the help. i have checked the belts and they dont appear too tight. the fan also seems to be the right size. i have had people with experience in the auto industry who've looked at it too and havent seemed to find anything. anyways, i think that i might just shell out the $$$ and get it tuned up, there are a few other things wrong with the motor.
