93 pathy Hydrolock

My 93 pathy v6 hydro locked. My son took it swimming. It ran good prior to swimming lessons.

Info: 130,000 on the engine. Removed engine and the piston rods were bent. After removing rods the crank turned smoothly. Rust on the piston walls and cam lobes.

I am looking to buy an engine from RPM or ebay. Big price difference on EBAY.

Has anyone purchased from RPM?

Used engines with low mileage from Japan (are they for real)?

The engines from EBAY seem to come from JBM. Has anyone purchased from them?

Any suggestions or comments. Help

Thanks

Danny

Welcome! Another Central Cali member! w00t! I'm in Santa Cruz.

Anyways yes Japanese import engines are real, in fact a couple of members on this board have replaced their engines with a JDM import. Definatly talk to Slick if you need any help, she definatly knows her stuff. As for who to buy from I can't recommend anyone. Make sure that the engine turns over before you buy it, and get a compression test beforehand too. :aok:

pm's sent  ;)

Found an engine from C&S Motors in So Cal. A low mileage used from Japan. I am calling them tomorrow to see where that leads me. Anyone heard or purchased from them before? Thanks SC88Pathy I feel a little more comfortable Getting one of these Japan motors.

I need to get this put together in the next few weeks. My daughter needs a car and old dad is here to help. She is the one that bought the Pathy originally.

Thanks slick for the info and parts connection (http://www.partsdinosaur.com/index.html).

Here is the engine prior to the pull.
