You are right about the centerlinks (in reference to offroading & lifting trucks) -- however that is an issue for the pre 1996 pathys.

simon and pezzy are correct. the r50 has rack and pinion steering. there is no centerlink.

 

although it is not common in pre 96 pathfinders for this particular part to wear out IF the vehicle is not taken offroad. (for example my dad has an 89 pathfinder with like 360, 000 miles on it....without problems) but my r50 only has like 200, 000 on it and i break stuff all the time when i go wheeling.
