tecciball
I want to upgrade the tires on my 01 SE. I dont want to get into modifying the suspension, but I also dont want to damage the new rubber with excessive tire rub. As you all know, there are not many options at the stock size. Any suggestions? I also want to use my stock wheels.
Trainman
Try this thread: click here Look at the 4th post down for what I can get on mine without mods. Works for what I need the truck for. :cool2: Edited February 17, 2006 by Trainman
Trainman
Here is a neat tire calulator you can use to compare tire sizes. Will draw the orginal tire outline and your new one so you can get an idea of what might happen: click here for tire calculator
MellowCat
I got 255/75/16's Dueler Revo AT's to fit just fine with no rub. Wanted the next size up but they hit.
02silverpathy
Yep~ I got the OME lift with 1" spacers in the front to level it out and got the 265/75/16 REVO's...they rub the strut tower pretty good on the inside tread blocks....spacers and hub centric lugs are on the way...if that doesn't work then I am getting extended wheel studs and a second set of spacers!!! That apparently makes me off by 13.2%!!! Lol 60mph now = 67.9 mph!! --->This is something to keep in mind when you are figuring your MPG...my stock size 235/70/15 turned 722 times in a mile....the new size 265/75/16 turn 637 in a mile...a whopping 85 times less to cover the same ground!! So take that number times the number of miles your trip-odometer says and divide this new number by 722....add that to the number of miles on your trip odometer before dividing by amount of gallons it took to fill the tank back up...voila!! Adjusted gas miles!! Edited February 21, 2006 by 98silverpathy

MellowCat
Ok, I lied! Sorry! My tires are 255/70/16's, not 75's. The 265's hit bad.
