solid snake
Whats up. So I finally did the electric fan conversion. It took me a while to set up the fan control unit, to the point where I said "F-it !" I ended up using a relay and hooked up the fan so it can start with the ignition. I decided to go this way since it doesn't get too cold around here, and it will help me out a lout during the summer when I'll have the a/c full blast! The diffrence I did notice is that the acceleration is a little bit quicker and there is some significant amount of mpg gains. I got the info to do the swap here: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=5701 I would like to thank 98 silverpathy for the help. Filthy Luker
So the fan is ALWAYS on when the ignition is on? Wouldn't that be a large unnecessary current draw? You don't have an override switch or anything?
jj big shoe
Not to mention premature fan motor failure. What issues are you having with the install? Once you get your head around it, it's really a pretty straight-forward circuit. Here's a site with a good, clear schematic and info. One other thing you might want to add to it is a kill switch for deep water crossings. If you'd like, pm me if you need it and I'll draw one up for you.
