hastifc
who here has installed the thorley headers in an auto? getting interference with the 3-bolt flange and the tranny sump and cooler line at the banjo. first option is to pie-cut right behind the flange and angle away from the tranny. option two is to cut cooler line at banjo, reroute with soft line, and header will still be tight. any ideas???? chunkster
Sorry to bring back an old thread but.... Planning to get the Thorley's for my 92 Auto and went through the search to get familiarized with others who have went through the installation with their autos. Came across this thread and didn't see what the outcome was. Wrong part? I thought the thorley's for manual's also cleared the autos? Any ideas? Thanks, Chunk
solid snake
I recently installed thorleys on my 92, yes it's an auto. I didn't have any clearance issues like you are having. Mine was all directly bolt up, no problem in trying to fit everything. Had a shop extend the egr valve tubing so it can fit nice and neat with out any bending.
