Simon
That makes sense, but what could cause the high pressure at the fuel line just off the fuel filter. When measured there, it's 65psi, which is before the part of the system you're referring to.
k9sar
If I look at a diagram of the fuel system, it appears as if the pressure regulator is AFTER the injectors. Guess it uses a back-pressure theory though I'm not sure. There is a line going back to the tank where, if there is no vacuum at the regulator, that line is closed causing a buildup of pressure on the front side of the regulator where the injectors are. Personally, I wouldn't have designed it this way but... oh well
02silverpathy
Ok so i will try to help narrow the problem myself as I had a prob with my honda too acting goofy about fuel...pull your fuse from the fuel pump and see if it will start and run after trynig to start with the fuel pump getting power. you will first "flood" because of the bad FPR, then remove fuse to kill fuel pump and try to start her...if this works you will have found the problem for sure??? Precise1
Did you ever get any farther with this Sniper ? B
Guest chainsaw
pressure before the regulator should be higher than 43psi otherwise what is there to regulate? second, ensure that the connection to the mass air flow sensor is good and that the sensor is working properly. without this sensor the pathy will not run at all!
