I am looking at buying my friends 1993 4x4 pathfinder se but have a couple questions. How are the pathfinders for towing? I need to tow a 17foot boot. My parents 02 windstar does it no problem how will the pathfinder be?

also would it be capable to put a plow on a pathfinder and be a decent?

As far as towing a boat you should have no problem as long as you install a good tranny cooler, the OEM cooler was crappy. As for plowing, the front suspension is a torsion bar system. I am not sure how those would be to hold up the weight of a plow. You'd probably want to crank em up or install some that are a little heavier duty.

I tow a 17' bass boat with my '92 (manual trans). The only problem I had was with stopping especially after going to 31" tires, but upgrading the pads fixed that. With the larger tire, I also noticed I don't pull hills in 5th as often, but I really shouldn't be going that fast on the roads I tow on anyway.

As for plowing, it should work well. I've thought about getting one myself (when I find one at the right price).

Me too, heck there are guys with plows on their Wranglers here. Just keep some good balast over the rear axel while plowing and you should have no troubles in the Pathy.
