Three Canadian Nissan dealerships celebrate 40 years

 

 

Mississauga, Ontario – Nissan, which celebrates 40 years of business in Canada this year, has also announced that three of its dealerships reached the milestone as well.

 

St. Clair Motor Service for Nissan in Toronto, Midway Motors in Whitby, Ontario and Morrey Nissan in Burnaby, B.C. have also been operating for four decades. Collectively, the three dealerships employ 125 people. St. Clair Motor Service for Nissan has several employees who have been with them for over 20 years; Midway Motors is currently managed by the founders' sons; and at Morrey Nissan, they recall their first buyer, Mrs. Cannon, who paid $1,700 for her new car. Various commemorative celebrations have been taking place at all three dealerships throughout the year.

 

Nissan Canada was the first Japanese-based automaker to incorporate in Canada, opening for business with six employees in Vancouver in January 1965. Shortly thereafter, the company signed up 84 dealers and sold over 1,200 vehicles in its first year.

They've been advertising about this for months... We'd actually go to that dealership - if they opened during hours that 90% of us dont work.
