dwrounds
Hey guys, I got my black panther skid installed. However I am wondering if I should have removed the two bars one on the left and one on the right. It looks like they serve no purpose and they are stopping the new skid from fitting flush with the back end of the skid and frame. I also was unable to use the locking washers in the back because the bolt was not long enough due to the bolts holding on those two bars. What to do? shipping was good and fast, great product! kmgar99
I think he recommends removing those two bars, which only serve to support the plastic skid.

DJ Dank
Ahh ok...I left that thing on when I ripped my plastic splash guard off. So it really serves no other purpose?
Pezzy
As far as I can tell, it was just a support for the splash guard.

vengeful
That only purpose that H-bracket serves is to support the splash guard. It offers NO protection at all. When I took mine off to install the skidplate, it was twisted 90° in the center (wide thin) part, and BOTH arms were bent about 60°.
