Guest trapper_canada
I'm looking to upgrade my old Pathy to a newer one. I'm thinking somewhere between 1998 - 2001 ... maybe 2002 if I can find a good price. Was there any model changes in this time that I should look for? Last year I bought a 2001 Civic which was MUCH nicer than the 2000 model. If there was a model change I'd probably wish to get the newer one...unless their are known issues. thoughts? Trainman
Check out this used car review at Canadian Driver, explains some of the differences at the years you are looking at. Big changes at 99.5 (body) and 2001 (motor). Link I have been very happy with my 2002, bought used on wet coast (lease return). Good luck.
DJ Dank
Yeah, the big substantial difference is in the 01+. Thats when the 3.5l engine replaced the 3.3l in the 96-99's.
Sayjack
If you go higher than 99, make sure it has stock fender flaring, because aftermarket companies don't make them past 99 for Pathfinders. But the 3.5L engine ROCKS!!
