Pezzy
Sorry to add another tire thread to the list. Ive been searching here, and on 3 other Nissan forums, and quite frankly - I'm gonna throw up if I keep searching... My Truck - 99.5 XE My Wheels - Stock 16" My tire selection - Bridgestone Dueller A/T Revos Size that will fit w/o hitting the strut - ______________ you tell me... We were originally looking at 275r70/16 but I think we need to slim that idea down... there's not a lot os space between the tire & the strut... here's a pic of the stock tire & new strut: here's the wheel style (in case it matters)
Runnerman
I think you should put some MTR's on Pezzy as you are going the route of the Offroading mods. You would not regret them hey Then you can pull out Crazy4snow haha Leader of the Pack (Pathy leading the X's)
Airrun2002
Get some cheap black rock crawler rims from summit for $50 a piece with a 4-3.75" backspacing then you should have plenty of room for some meatier tires.
Pezzy
hehehe... He's already depressed enough about losing his photographer! One offroad truck has proven expensive enough... two is insane!! yet, we do it...
Trainman
Hey Pezzy, don’t know if this helps but I put on LT245/75R16 on those same wheels, without any suspension mods, and yes there is very tight clearance on the front strut (tighter than what your picture shows) BUT no rubbing, even off road. I know the width on my tire is less, but you have greater height from your lift and as I say, I have tighter clearances than you without any rubbing problems. My tire shop (Tirecraft in Merritt) also said that if I did have problems, they would change them over at no charge to something that would fit. See if your tire place will do that for you in case you are still concerned.
big_johnson
check this page out. He has a pathy similar to yours, with the OME springs, and he fit 265/70R16's. Makes sense, because 265/70R16's are equivalent to 31x10.5".
abomb1
This guy has the same lift as you, with the KYB struts and fit 265/75R16's on his stock wheels. I think it looks pretty good.
Pezzy
Thanks... I like the look of that silver pathy with the bumper... Well, we decided to solve the problem by splurging on a new set of wheels... details to follow
