Turning fog lights on whenever 97 Qx4

I know there's a write up on this already. It didn't work for my 97 Quey, but this did.I removed the fog light relay and I took pin #2 out completely and soldered a wire to the same post inside. I thin got a relay from radio shack and soldered a wire to pin #30 on the underside of the radio shack relay. That way I didn't have to open it up. I decided to use the heater/meter relay for my power. Just insert the factory relay back in it's slot along with the radio shack relay in the heater/mirror slot. Now you can work your fog lights whenever you want. (Note) cut out a slot on the cover of the factory relay for the wire to go throughdd9fab5a37f82534464a4f749b1e5d85.jpgb29942db886cc84f7b71fb8a03eea0fa.jpgec5d340298aef2b93c1b82677e68d618.jpgc7c666f099ae9a0cd34f5236f6c27255.jpg906bfd3b8ebee223cf58bf61be8bdfff.jpgd31bd51db04ce251040ccc75851ed66e.jpg

There's other post on net but not for a 97 Quey. I tried to get my power from the a/c relay like the other post said but couldn't get it to work so I went for the Heater/mirror relay for power and it worked. I'm glad this helps.

Mine's a 2002 so it's not really the same at all (totally different engine), but I hadn't even considered this as a possibility so thanks!

There's another write up on the web but that write up didn't work for my 97 model it might work for your model though. Good luck
