RB25 SWAP

Thinking about doing a NEO RB swap out of an R33 AWD? or vg30dett

Any inputs with mounts and harness?

What would the advantage be with an RB25?

 

I'm not sure the VG30DETT would even fit in the engine bay. A few people have mounted turbos to the VG30E and even then it looks like a tight fit.

DETT fits... there's a thread and a few videos on here. It's tight.

Huh? An RB is hard to find parts for? Complete swaps with transmissions, turbo, and harnesses around here sell for like $1000... And the aftermarket is a hell of a lot cheaper from what I've seen.

 

The downside of an RB is that they don't have as much low end torque, the turbo makes up for it but that's unpredictable spooling which wouldn't be ideal in some 4x4 situations.
