Guest qwerty778
I own a 1997 2wd Pathfinder XE and I was wondering what its potential is off-road. I have only been off-road once when 2 minutes into it I sunk it into a hole I didn't see. It was stuck really good and it took forever to get it out. I've been to afraid of getting stuck and haven't returned off-road. Do you think I have any chance of doing anything or I should just stay on some roads. One more thing, I know people with 2wd tacomas who can tackle a lot of stuff.
96pfinderSE
Hey man, 2WD has plenty of potential you just gotta watch what your doin a little more. I used to wheel a 2wd dodge and i went most places a 4wd truck could go. just slap some tires on there and hit the trails. Just limit yourself to what you can and cant do. <Justin>
vengeful
Yeah man, a 2WD can do pretty well off-road. If you have some aggressive tires and a locker or LSD you'll be able to go as far, if not farther than open 4WD trucks. Also, it is 85% driver, 15% truck. Once you've built up some skills and confidence, you'll be able to tackle just about anything, within reason of course. Have fun, the Pathfinder is a great truck. 94extreme
first you have to learn. no locker or 4x4 will ever substitute that. when you reach your linits in 2 (and no that last jaunt was no the limit) look into a locker and off you go....
