2 plugs/harnesses hanging below fuse box?

There are 2 plugs/harnesses hanging below the fuse panel on the drivers side footwell. They are not plugged into anything. Any ideas what they are for? 95 Pathfinder

I can't answer that question. What I can say about connectors that are not used. Most manufactures make 1 harness for their vehicles. It's easier to make 1 rather than multiple harnesses. If you look around the vehicle you will find multiple connectors not used.

 

I know that doesn't answer your question. I wasn't sure if you were aware.

If they are below the hood release. the big rectangle one is the diagnostic port, and the smaller one I was told is has something to do with the abs

if one of the plugs is under the steering wheel it may be for the under dash/foot well light that some trucks have, the diagnostic connector, in the area mentioned usually has a clearish rubber boot over it and is rectangle.
