Clutch pedal adjustment?

I have searched and didn't find anything. I know that with a hydraulic clutch there are no adjustments.

I ask because the engagement point is very high. It is the same on both pathfinders I have. Both are 95's, 1 is 4x4, 1 is 4x2. The 4x2 has a new clutch.

So is it normal to have a high engagement point?

Both the Nissan trucks (D720, WD21) that I have owned had a 'tall' clutch, but there is a bit of adjustment that you can play with that will affect the engagement point; there are specs in the FSM.

I never played with mine as I always preferred it that way, but I'm sure you could get a bit of leeway either direction. Check out CL-3ish

I was looking at that in the fsm. I wasn't sure if that would change the engagement point. I suppose I could mess with it and see if that helps.

It's good to know that the clutch is tall normally. I feel better knowing that. I assumed that my pathfinders clutch was going out. Then when I put a new clutch in my brother's rig it was the same I thought something might be wrong with his.

Thanks B.

Clutch pedal height from top of pad to the floor should be 227 - 237mm.

It states "Adjust pedal free play with master cylinder push rod. Then tighten lock nut. That push rod adjuster is right up top of the clutch pedal with the lock nut on the back.
