CheeseNipz
Hello NPORA community! I just purchased my first Pathfinder less than a week ago. After borrowing my mom's 2004 SE for a few camping trips, I fell in love and had to have one of my own. For the past month or two, while searching around town and scouring Craigslist for an R50 suitable for me, I've also been lurking on forums and I must say NPORA is my favorite so far. I looked at 3 different Pathfinders and 1 QX4 ranging from 2002-2004. Unfortunatley they were all in the condition of which I considered unacceptable (rusty, 200,000+ mileage, exhaust leaks, oil leaks, filthy interior, etc). After a whole day out and about with no luck, I went home and jumped online to continue my search. I came across one that had just arrived at a Honda dealership that looked promising, so I stopped in the next day and the rest is history. It's had 3 owners and has 150k on the odometer but the carfax showed it has never been in a wreck and has had all it's scheduled maintenence at Nissan dealerships. Definitely the cleanest and most mechanically sound R50 I came across in my search. Absolutley no rust on the body and runs like a champ, has a few minor dings and scratches. I picked it up for $5000. 2002 SE 4x4 Automatic (Interior pictures are a little grainy, sorry) I've lived in Cincinnati, OH for the past 18 years and currently reside in Waynesville, OH (about 40 miles north of Cincy). I'm moving to the Bay Area, CA at the end of November. I will be driving my Pathy about 2500 miles! As soon as I arrive in California, I plan to start looking into some mods. I've done a little research and have a pretty good idea of what I'd like to do. As for now I just have a Draw Tite class III hitch reciever on the way, which brings me to the one question I have at the moment. My R50 does not have the tow package. Besides a tow hitch, is there anything else a Pathy with the tow package has that mine doesn't, like a bigger radiator? I'll be towing a small trailer with me (5x8) and want to make sure I have a safe trip. Thanks for reading! I look forward to making some new friends here, learing all I can about my Pathy, and becoming a contributing member to the NPORA community! -Peace Edited September 26, 2014 by CheeseNipz

Rebelord
Nice truck. To tow just add a aftermarket transmission cooler. Like a Hayden 679 or so. Usually about $55-65 at parts stores. Cheaper online Sent from my Moto X
SkiBumBrian
Very nice! I live in CA and emissions here are more strict than the rest of the US. I think under the hood is the emissions information and see if it is California legal. If not be prepared for a few mods to bring it up to Commiefornia standards. I personally have never had this issue but have met others that have.... Edited September 26, 2014 by SkiBumBrian
nunya
Don't forget a wiring harness for the trailer lights too! Then look up local members to where you will be and I can give you hints on what to steal off their trucks when they ain't home And I like cheese-it's better thane cheese nips... I'm watching you
01Pathmaker
Very nice find! Get the appropriate trailer wiring and a brake controller if the trailer has brakes, add a transmission cooler and do a full service, if it hasn't already been done (coolant flush/fill, trans filter/fluid, transfer case drain/fill, front and rear diff fluid drain/fill, engine and cabin air filters, fuel filter. A little pm goes a long way and will provide you with an easy trip. Congrats and welcome to the Pathfinder community.
