NIssanBoston
Retro fit a rough country xj bumper , following theexbrits guide on cutting the brackets. Had some extra support brackets made , bolted and welded to the bumper . Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk
NIssanBoston
Not to much of a gap between the headlights and bumper, got it as close as i could without running into problems fitting a winch. Heres some more photos of the mounting of the bumper. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk
NIssanBoston
Also, went on a local trip this past weekend with a jeep club, moderate rock climbs, lots of washouts, pathy preformed very well and was very confident of going through everything. Didnt get to many photos, but here are some i did take. Also got around to finally bolting up my winch, i didn't wire it yet as the battery i have now is very weak, i got my eyes on the yellowtop double post battery, i should have that in the next week or so. For some odd reason, i had to drill the holes bigger on the bumper , the bolt was not going through and was sitting at an angle. Everything lines up as it should now. mjotrainbrain
Wow, it looks really good! Could you post a link to theexbrit's guide? I can't seem to find it. Have you had a chance to use the winch yet, to tell if your bumper mounting is secure enough?

Winching shouldn't be a problem either. I'll update you on it though once i test it out for sure. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk

TowndawgR50
Be careful winching from those mounting points. They are not that strong. Try incorporating the lower bumper mounts and the OEM tow points for more strength.

The bumper is stiff and bolted on there pretty good. It will handle winching , extra support doesnt hurt though.
