HELP! why do i feel like my rear end is locked up?

While driving around everytime i make a turn i feel like my rear diff. Is locked? Is this normal? Or.... Whats about to give out lol.

Could you please explain the sensation a bit more so we can try to pin it down?

It feels like rear differential is locked. It vibrates as i turn left or right on pavement. It feels as if im driving my 2wd frontier and i lock the rear differentail.

And the vibration is only in the rear

Do you have a limited slip rear axle? If those get filled with standard gear oil (without the required LSD additive) they tend to lock up.

 

Also, 2WD Frontiers have diff locks?

Can they do that if they are low on gear oil?? And I believe I do its a 96 pathfinder le. And yes I own a 2006 frontier mismo and it has a diff. Lock lol

They do a lot of things with low gear oil. Locking up is one of 'em.

My QX4 has rear LSD and everytime if I U-turn too fast, same feeling as you happened.
