mikey_nz Posted February 22, 2014 Share Posted February 22, 2014 hey guys i have recently got a pathfinder. it is a 91 v30 petrol 5 speed. when it is cold it starts first turn of the key, once the engine is warmed up it will not start.. cranks over but thats all. i had a few guys help me try push start it and it started but was missing all the way home. i need some help plz guys mike Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Kingman Posted February 24, 2014 Share Posted February 24, 2014 See how hot the coil gets and if its producing any spark, and if it does check the color. Should be bright blue and not a dim yellow. Also check the ECM coolant temp sensor in the upper coolant neck, when they go bad they tell the ECU its much colder than it really is therefore flooding the engine when its hot. My buddies truck cut out like a switch when it warmed up and refused to start until we cleaned the connector. Ran flawlessly after that...
