I've got an '87 w/ z24i engine. I got a rebuilt head from Advance Auto.

The old head had a blocked port on the front of the intake side.

The new head has a hole in it. Any idea where I can find a cover to go in the place?

I see one plug on the intake side of the head. It appears on the diagram to be about 1/3 of the way back from the head, near the engine sliger. It is a round threaded plug. It is still available from Nissan.

PART NUMBER: 11048-10W00

DESCRIPTION: PLUG-THREADED

$1.33 (NISSAN LIST: $4.37)

Yeah, it's just (vehicle) forward of the intake manifold. It's even on a different plane than the intake manifold.

My son made a cover out of some plate metal we had lying around. We put some permatex RTV around the edge.

We had to modify (slot out) one of the brackets (power steering?) that attached to it.

This forum has been a great help as I've been working on this project with my sons!

Thanks for the help. :-)

Ok its the flat plate for where the fuel pump would be on the Z18 and Z20 motor. I jumped into the japan parts cataloge and found it for you.

Here are the part numbers for that:

16420-E0100 PLATE-COVER

17099-85G00 GASKET FUEL

08120-8201E BOLT HEX QTY NEEDED: 3

These parts show still available from Nissan. The plate ships from Japan, 2-3 weeks for delivery. The bolts only come in packages of 5 from Nissan.
