ahardb0dy
reminds me of a kit I saw years ago, where you take a 4wd pickup and with this kit, lose the rear axle and the rear wheel/tires get mounted outside the bed so the whole bed floor lowers to the ground so you can ride a lawn mower or motorcycle or push a load directly into the bed, than it raises back up to normal position, and you use the front axle (the 4wd now 2wd) to power the truck. Leo94
That sounds pretty silly and extensive, A better option would be to use hydraulics like a tow truck.
ahardb0dy
I was in a shop at the time waiting and I saw the brochure lying on the table so was looking at it, no idea if it sold well, or at all.
nunya
I'd like to see how they made the tandem axle or if the rear one is just a dummy for more weight distribution...
Trogdor636
I'd like to see how they made the tandem axle or if the rear one is just a dummy for more weight distribution... That was my guess. Looks neat though.
devonianwalk
Has to be a dummy for weight dist? I don't see a differential pumpkin in the picture.
nunya
Still would have suspension, no power to it though. Just used as extra contact to the ground. It don't HAVE to be dummies for weight dist., just if it IS dummied, that's about all its doing (besides cosmetic and making tire replacement costs higher )
devonianwalk
Good point. It does look like the rear axle is a little wider as well.
