No problem. I knew this one out of all the videos would be helpful. I had a number of those plastic parts broken on my 91 too. I changed out the entire system the other day in the driver's door. Need to do the other doors now. But at least I can finally lock my doors lol.

Is it safe to lube the lock mechanism (I don't mean the cylinder lock, I mean the big mechanism)?

 

Yes it should be. There are moving parts in it and should be greased. I wouldn't load it down like a bearing but yes it should be lubed. The one in my 91 (The one falling apart) was very dry in comparison to the one in the my 95 (The one in the video. The good one). I wouldn't use anything harsh on plastic though. Those are the parts that fail. No need to speed up the process with a lube that will cause plastic to become brittle.
