Auxiliary power outlets

Hi all,

 

I need some more 12v power/USB outlets for my iPad, phone, etc, not sure where I saw it but I remember seeing a 12v auxiliary power outlet module that was made for off roading. It was pretty expensive but I read good things about it, anyone have any ideas or recommendations?

Do you mean more cigarette lighter ports? Any problem with installing a 110v inverter? Mine also has a usb port; I could probably put a splitter on, so 1/2 way there...

Yeah, more cigarette lighter ports. I have an inverter but I don't run it all the time. This module I saw was really cool, you fed a power line in direct from the battery & you could run all kinds of accessories of it. I wish I could remember the name of it.

A friend and I put that 1100W RMS harbor freight inverter under the passenger seat in his Durango, have yet to use it. But its friggin sweet, has 1/0 gauge wiring, and extension cables running under the dash, (For laptop and other stuff) and then another that runs to the back of his rig, there's a little storage area and we ran another extension there.

 

But something nice and small under the passengers seat would be good as well, not running power tools like my friend thought he was, lol

 

Post pics when you get something installed (after the NX4's right? )

Interesting, I have not seen that before, but I don't need a 12v power block. I'm assuming iy's mainly for the ham gear? (other than the usb)
